That Old English Sheepdog is just as beautiful in person as he is on tv, I remember right after this show, he was entered at the International of Chicago dog show at McCormick place, my collie was in the herding group with him, and wow what a beauty!
It is quite apparent that the judges prefer dogs with upright tail carriage. Except for the Old English they all had this this upright tail carriage. It should be noted that among the Herding Group none of the breeds have upright tail carriage which is what probably makes the Pembroke Welsh Corgi and the Old English Sheepdog which are both tailless very frequent winners of their group. I believe there is a Freudian explanation lurking in their subliminal consciousness for this rather disgusting preference.

Look for the most hideously grotesque looking dog in the group of group winners. That will be your winner.
