Awesome 2023 collection! Love the GEC’s and the customs! As I am located about an hours drive from Böker Solingen, you can guess what kind of Barlows I picked up this year. Greetings from a fellow Barlow collector from The Netherlands 🇳🇱
Great video thanks Logan. I have the same #77 - awesome and much-carried knife. My perfect size for a Barlow - also have it in the Stag and an earlier clip point two-blader in Natural Micarta, but it's the Yellow Sawcut that sees the most pocket time! That Sean Yaw looks beautifully made. I've the same pair of #86 Barlows and, like you, I haven't used the Marrow Bone because they're so super-desirable. Maybe I should. The 2AB gets used, I reckon it might be the one which in time becomes the more desirable, being the only GEC-stamped Barlow bolster yet made. #15 Barlow prices on the secondary market are just silly, so I really hope I can get one if they make some in 2024.
Small note, the Rough Rider Barlow you showed is in 440a, not 440c, which is mainly why people have an issue with the steel sometimes. 440C, especially when GEC and some other good manufacturers use it, is great honestly, and doesn’t get enough credit for being great. 440A though, not so much. Very stainless, and reasonably tough, but it does not hold an edge very long at all, even less than 420HC by a pretty notable margin, and it is kind of weird to sharpen sometimes on more modern stones because the bur can just kind of flex back and forth over and over again on you without actually coming off. Not a knock on the knife, since it IS a knife that costs less than $10, and they are still great for the price, but wanted it out there for people to be aware.
Have a real club. Having ~10 years worth of relationship with the people at GEC from attending the Rendezvous and random trips probably didn’t hurt at all.
So cool to see the LCB in there with some absolutely beautiful barlows! Thanks man!
Antique yellow sawcut, is a beautiful classic design.

Great collection of different Barlow sizes and shape designs.👍
Thanks!
That 86 Marrow Bone was the craziest drop I think I've seen so far from GEC. Every site sold out in less than like, 2 seconds. It was just insane.

I agree on the 2AB. I would like to find a backup. I think it's one of GEC's best.

Yeah you're right, it's 440A. I haven't seen a massive difference but I also wouldn't say the Rough Ryder steel is particularly good...
Excellent collection
Thanks!
I really like that light saw cut bone.
Seems like it's a favorite of more than I had thought!
Man that Sean yaw is beautiful!!! I want one bad
How do you join the club ?
You start the application at: mailchi.mp/1ac88330041d/barlow-bearcat-club-application
Just make sure to look out for and open emails
Why isn't the BB stamping or engraving on both sides?
On the Boker or the LaRock? It's not uncommon on vintage knives for it to only be on the show side. See the 2AB.
@KnifeThoughts On both. I could have swore on the 2AB its on both sides.
What kind of commitment did you need to make to have a Club knife run ?

That is great. Us Plebians are lucky just to get a regular run pattern. @@KnifeThoughts
When you say S model or store model, do you mean ones that were not as good quality that did not pass QC standards
Yeah, they have some aesthetic imperfection and are not covered by the warranty
Okay gotcha. I was planning a trip to the factory, im assuming those are all “s” models they have for sale there. Not a big deal just good to know
