The meaning behind this? There are now 4,000 Chabad Houses in the world, vibrant centers for goodness and kindness and holiness. That is a direct result of "frenzies" like this. That energy is what drives Chabad now, 30 years later.
In my country, most Jews thing Chabad is an evil company, but me and a few others think that Chabad is a gift from God. I love Chabad, and the lubavitcher Rebbe!!
This is what Hindus call Satsang, its a kind of frenzied worship/celebration that is common to all religions--like the Bekhtashi Sufis, or the chorus Bhajan and Kirtan of the Hindu sects like the Gaudiya Vaishnava or Hare Krishna...Its a mystical ecstasy
To the outsider, this appears a somewhat bewildering event. With the crowd whipping themselves into a frenzy? at the erging of the Rebbe. What is the meaning behind this..? Not the obvious but the deeper meaning...?
DMRH69 Refer to the comment by JewishMedia. The festival of purim is to celebrate and commemorate our existence and perseverance as a people and to reflect on and enhance our connection with Gd... The chassidim (followers of the Lubavitcher Rebbe) are expressing their joy through an extatic song and dance and requesting Gd to grant them the Messiah and ultimate, complete redemption! Happy Purim!
If you're still around after eleven years, the point is serving G-d with joy and with all of your spiritual and physical strength. Hence the name "Niggun Simcha" - a happy song
DMR, the Russian words that go with this original song are (approximately): "Fire will not burn us and water will not drown us, we will persevere." (While most of the participants at this event are not native Russian speakers, they are aware of their content.) At this Purim gathering, the participants are singing, and the Rebbe is encouraging, the theme indefatigable Jewish perseverance.
Yes it’s a spiritual energy force still driving us today from above🕎❤
Rebbe was 80 years old but had so much passion and energy. G-d bless the Rebbe !.
Pure Happiness and Joy to be together asking for » Machia ‘h Now!!! »
