IT IS more about LOVE and CAPTURE DEEP emotion. Demon's COULD never play or interpret this as they are NOT CREATIVE: that is GOD's GLORY and not for those with pride-filled pretenses of being God like...hubris as it were int he times of the GREEKS
I find his interpretation of this piece mesmerizing. He is just pure genius. It is unbelievable how he enjoys playing such a difficult piece, his technique and control, his confidence. He just knows he is going to get it right, PERFECT indeed.
you all prolly dont care at all but does any of you know a method to get back into an Instagram account?? I was dumb forgot my password. I appreciate any help you can give me
What an accurate observation and I thank you. His is just vibrant and UTTERLY MUSICAL architecturally varying dynamics in question response style and that flawless technique of his...what a GIFT bestowed al in one slim man
8:18 the way he contrasted the arpeggios on the right and the chords on the left hand was magic, Because on most videos or recording's most people try to bring out the left hand out and make the right hand arpeggio quiet, but he makes it the right tone for it to feel and sound like the right hand is also a part of it not a separate melody. Amazing, All I gotta say.:)
"He has everything and more...tenderness and also the demonic element. I have never heard anything like this before." (Martha Argerich) I think there's no better proof than this great video! 💖
Comments say it all. Just to add what’s not reflected upon: the fact that by the time he is attacking this monstrously difficult work of art he has already played a Prokofiev No3 Sonata like there was no tomorrow, sublime Haydn, thoughtful Scarlatti, Tchaikovsky with gusto, a Chopin barcarolle with all he had … and now this, just from another planet. Thank you !!!
"Last night I listened to him again on TH-cam - he has everything and more. What he does with his hands is technically incredible. It’s also his touch - he has tenderness and also the demonic element. I never heard anything like that." - Martha Argerich on The Financial Times, 9 July 2011 “지난밤에 나는 그의 연주를 유튜브로 다시 들었다. - 그는 모든 것을 가졌다. 건반 위의 터치는 부드럽다 못해 소름이 끼칠 정도이다. 지금껏 그와 같은 연주를 들어본 적이 없다.” - 마르타 아르헤리치, 2011년 7월 9일 피낸셜 타임스
this guy's passion for the music is extremely noticeable since he seems unaware he is sweating like hell. his whole mind is on the music, also for such a piece I don't think he has the time to mind his surroundings otherwise he'll mess up and embarrass himself
Is he considered the best pianist in the world currently? I mean, this performance was just completely insane in my view. I love classical music but I’m not that involved or informed, maybe you all can get me up to speed.
He is cream of the crop, "the best" is rather vague but id say there is a low single digit number that plays on that level and trifonov ranks at the top or at least shares the top. Peak performance piano!
Every time he plays Liszt there’s a demon that takes control over his playing, the level of interpretation and technique it’s insane WOW just WOW 👏👏👏

I am blessed to live in the time of Daniil Trifinov.
Ay you have it and well said
this is by far the best interpretation of Mephistos Waltz I’ve ever heard

@@MarcRajotte-hv8hwhe’s also very very passionate about piano and that’s what inspired me about him
@@MarcRajotte-hv8hwI don’t think I’ve ever seen a pianist quite like Trifonov express so much emotion when playing a piece

YES and YES and YES to your observation

Best recording ever. Genius.
those ridiculous octave leaps 7:58-8:11 and breezes right through it. insane. even the best always have their slip ups in that moment.
He barely slipped, what do you mean?

This performance has everything... clarity, contrasts, touch, technical prowess, passion...
it's so powerful and he played 8 pieces just before this one! Amazing 👏👏👏
Neige, you are an angel sent from heaven for sending these videos. Thank you so much!

Great performance! So passionate. He is a role model.
Spettacolare esecuzione! Listz sarebbe rimasto soddisfatto!
Felicidades. Danil. 🇮🇷. 🤩 que bien. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🌟🌟🌟🌟
so,o,so SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much musicality
As if Franz Liszt himself played the piano: devilsh, fantastic, perfect!!!

Děkuji Vám ... tolik citu ... opravdovost 🤍🕊️
Daniil. I love you. These audience members. Should have been immediately escorted out. You showed them anyways
Floored. No words.
one of my favorite pianists of all time

Absolutely phenomenal!! He plays as one possessed!!

*The "best" is always difficult as everyone has a different definition of that word. But the name that pops up most often is Martha Argerich.*
He should have won the Chopin competition then he’d have a well deserved triple crown
Adoro o Daniil, mas o Liszt me deixa pertubada ;-; ~queria ouvir esse homi* e não me sentir estranha.
Radikalste Kunst wunderbar!
my favorite piece on the piano
😇 He is in 🙏 TRANCE, so this 👌result ! 🖖
Liszt made life difficult for modern pianists
REAL. My hands felt like sprinting a 2k doing the last part of this piece. Left hand died a thousand times over.😭
wow
he looks like the letter 'r'
LOL
HOW?! 😭
Did he win the bloody thing?! And if not, WHO DID?! Can I see THEIR performance pls! 🤪
Yes he did.
Tension in upper back, neck and this jaw that requires INTENSE MUSCULAR contraction to jut out...yet the playing is so so so relaxed ?????????????????
🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝🔝😍
Is it extremely hot in that building or is he just playing so intensely?
Trifonov sweats like this in most performances lol. I think he might have some form of hyperhidrosis.

How is this a waltz
‘mephisto’ made a big difference
It is in a Waltz time signature

he played some parts clearly bad
YOU play it then.
@@immortily1673 He's Liszt, you know he's the judge out here.
his expressions literally look like he is being possessed by the mephisto. That is why he plays like mephisto
I think I've just had a spiritual experience
