I bought the CD and played it the entire time I went back to Newfoundland to visit family. I also stood on a cliff and belted out this song to the heavens. It was awesome, it was a beautiful day. Its not an easy song. Sure its not as complex as other "technical" genres but its definitely out of the box when you compare it with songs from other bands in the genre. I've seen many drummers on TH-cam not getting this song right and this is solid.
My drum-skills have never been good enough for this song (bloody hobbyist). I have no words how much I appreciate finally having been able to see how this amazing song is properly played on the drums!! And I have to agree with the other commenters, you absolutely nailed it!

Abe doesn’t get the credit he deserves in the “linear playing” realm. He makes more out of that style of playing on a regular basis than almost anyone else I’ve heard. Making that stuff groove and feel good is an artform unto itself.

this is one of my all time favorite groove feel tracks. while i do feel you did a good job, it is virtually impossible to imitate someone's feel 100% (think fool in the rain) and the feel on this track, for me, is incredible...Again, you did a good job, much MUCH better than I could've done...and I've tried 🤜🤛
