It really is stupid that even just one nuke in this mod triggers a MAD scenario. At least with Burgundy it makes sense since they specifically want to trigger such an event, but come on. One nuke from Italy and somehow with no reason given it evolves into you nuking the whole planet in response?
@@SwinceBall that’s a possibility. Burgundy sees the opportunity to get all the missiles airborne now. Though I think the German response would have been limited realistically. Probably hit rome and a few other cities and start tac nuking. But full on icbm launches? The mod needs another option other than total destruction In our timeline mcarthur wanted to use limited nukes in the Korean War. Literal Nazis should have this option I think.

@@SwinceBall Well I guess it kinda makes sense because when the nuke was launched Germany launched all of its nukes randomly on the map therefore hitting the other nuclear powers and because they dont know that Germany hit them they will do the same and launch every nuke they have anywhere on the map.
Personally, I find that the Thousand Week Reich is more realistic than the New Order. The New Order is a total Axis victory, while the Thousand Week Reich has a German victory and a Japanese defeat.

@@SwinceBall To be honest you won't know the story if you won't play the mod a few times to get around the general idea, you don't have to watch the show neither since things from the show are either basic ideas for some nations or litellarly one guy who appeared for one second or are just references to characters. In my opinion you should just choose the country that appears interesting to you, which some bare resemblence to real life history, just a few examples: +Griffonian Empire - Griffon Holy Roman Empire, you have a succesion problem because your emperor is dead, your successor is too young to lead and your dozen of vassals quickly abandon you to persue their own agenda, now you have to appoint a regent and restore empire's former glory +Aquallia - Griffon French Monarchy just before the revolution, you can choose between continuing your imperialist ambitions or overthrowing the government to start democratic elections +Colthage - Zebra Carthage mixed with Mexico, you have a very various paths from which you can take, too many to honestly to give you a run down, but to cut it short you can create mighty merchant republic, overthrow your government as constitualists to create fair elections or even rise as small oppressed province under charismatic revolutionary and fight against Colthage. As you can see, those factions aren't that much diffrent for a most part from the regular history besides stuff like Colthage to give flavor to the world. If you are looking for a sort of summary there are wiki's for each faction so you can get insight from those but if you are open to play the mod give it a few tries to see what type of dynamic is there in terms of conflict. You can try the one's I mentioned or you can try the one that might be to your liking, if you have some questions mate then I'll be happy to anwser. Fuck I spended too much time on this comment XD

This right here is probably the single biggest mistake TNO makes - Nuclear War doesn’t wipe out the planet. Even with modern arsenals it’s estimated conventional combat operations can begin less than a month after detonation. During this time period IRL the Soviets and NATO had plans for combat operations as little as six hours after nuclear detonation in an area. And that’s with a high radiation weapon and not just a “normal” nuclear weapon.
"We will reach the Nuke before it launches.", tried that once too after i ended up in a war with the US as Speer's Germany, the US capitulated but was able to launch its nukes anyway.
not entirely, the Empire of Japan still exists with the collapse of Reichskomissariats and the raids, Europe and Russia would pretty much be devastated

This right here is probably the single biggest mistake TNO makes - Nuclear War doesn’t wipe out the planet. Even with modern arsenals it’s estimated conventional combat operations can begin less than a month after detonation. During this time period IRL the Soviets and NATO had plans for combat operations as little as six hours after nuclear detonation in an area. And that’s with a high radiation weapon and not just a “normal” nuclear weapon.
"We will reach the Nuke before it launches.", tried that once too after i ended up in a war with the US as Speer's Germany, the US capitulated but was able to launch its nukes anyway.
