Man I bought a behringer interface about 6 months ago and it’s awesome. I needed more channels and it was a toss up between the one I got an a scarlet. I felt like it was a gamble quality wise but it was like 1/3 the price and I’m so happy I went with the behringer. Buisness practice aside, I can only afford so much and it’s nice to know they have you covered. Quality is great btw.
My brother was interested in what my pedals did so I bought him like 5-6 Behringer pedals for his birthday one year. It was pretty cool and honestly I think some of them sound better than more expensive pedals I own. Some of them don't.
Hey, Baxter, this young man is giving you a run for your money in the whole unruly hair arena. Great video, I have no problem with the Behringer lines, nothing wrong with providing decent product for budget minded customers, we aren't all wealthy but we still love playing.
I have software synths, but having the hardware synths, analog and digital, is a different experience. I own several Behringer versions of classic analog synths - where the originals would be difficult to find, afford, fix and maintain - that work great. My latest is the System-55, which joins my Odyssey, 2600 and Poly-D. All purchased new from Sweetwater. Works great for me.
I've been a fan of Behringer and their family brands like Bugera, T.C. Electronic, etc, for years. I've always been impressed by the Bugera and T.C. Electronic bass amps, and I have a buddy with a Bugera V22 that impresses the hell out of me. I also almost exclusively use Behringer mics for instruments. I have 2 XM8500's, 2 BA 85A's, an SA 78A, and a B906. I also use the XM8500's and BA 85A mics for live vocals and Karaoke, and the SA 78A for a pairing mic along with a broadcast style mic for certain vocal styles. I have been using a UMC404HD USB Interface for a number of years, and I have a Xenyx Q802 mixer I have also used for tracking guitar and bass in the past. I only recently stopped using their plastic pedals, in favor of T.C. Electronic and Joyo. I also have an FBQ800 graphic EQ.
@@TheOlesarge I got their t5 lunchbox amp, not a fan of digital reverb but it's a pretty cool little 5 watter if you pair it with a decent cab and some NOS tubes
I hear you mention Music Villa every once in a while. I live in Bozeman and have been going to Music Villa at least once a month for 15 years. Have you, Baxter, been there before? It's an incredible guitar shop! We are so lucky to have it! Paul is awesome! Everyone there is awesome! On a side note, I'd love to visit your shop someday!
@Douglas_l hey Bozeman, Billings here. My sister in law lived there for a few years, but unfortunately I've only been to Music Villa twice. Very impressive. You talk about home grown, it's awesome knowing that the Gibson acoustics hanging on the wall there are built about 3.5 miles away.
You've Got Mail is better than Sleepless in Seattle in my book. On the gear side of things, my interface is a Behringer, as well as my wah pedal. Never had an issue with either, and would repurchase without hesitation.
Sweetwater could buy up Donner Music and have them be the Harley-Benton of the US. Donner guitars have come a long way in the last few years and it wouldn't take that much to start cranking out Fender-level axes, at least up to the MIM and Player stuff. H-B has come a long way, too, for their higher-level stuff.
It would be good for both. I have had positive experiences with the gear, but their customer service is not good. They lied to me and spent a ridiculous amount of time denying my claim of which I had multiple documents.
@@ghalsor Sweetwater would get that straightened out in a NY minute. They'd have zero tolerance for that kind of slather wrecking their reputation. But Donner would be a great fit for them if makers are going to start getting weird on sales outlets.
To me, any way you slice it or look at it, thoman and Harley Benton guitars are ripping off the actual guitar companies and putting out inferior product. It is a cash grab because, as you pointed out, the copyright laws don't apply there. It is a dishonest business and I don't support it!
Wouldn’t consider myself a Harley Benton fanboy, but countless companies have copied Gibson, Fender, etc for decades. That’s hardly something new. I think if it doesn’t say Fender or Gibson on the headstock most people (myself included) don’t care if they buy a licensed copy (Squire / Epiphone) or just a copy like a Harley Benton. Both are not the real thing.
I can see the day when each major city has a giant warehouse with many big name makers show and let you try their product but to buy it you do it you do online and it is shipped from the factory. Smaller companies will do the same but share a huge warehouse with as many as maybe 30 other manufacturers. Nothing is in the cards to raise the wages of anyone but perhaps even make it lower by denying any meaningful increase in wages every year. In short not having any money will not be a figure of speech. I am not being cynical this has been an ongoing trend for years and easily verifiable. It is just it is now heading into a basic American low standard of living.
Wage growth has been stagnant since the 70s, it's the availablility of easy credit jacking up prices...but now that the interest rates are through the roof, change is in the air

Wrong wrong wrongy WRONG! You've Got Mail is a FAR superior flick. Sleepless in Seattle is creepy and weird. Reverse the genders in SiS and see if the story still holds up (spoiler alert: weird and creepy!). Do the same in You've Got Mail? Not an issue. But a guy hears a woman talking about her dead husband on the radio and he starts stalking her and her kid, nominally for a 'story' and then ends up dumping his fiancé for this woman whom he's never actually met? Weird and creepy! If that character existed in real life, all her girlfriends would be certain he's going to murder her or make her join a sex cult. And what the hell is up with Bill Pullman's character? Talk about the ultimate unrealistic female fantasy (of that time)! A hanger on guy that isn't too demanding and nice enough but not terribly exciting that you can string along for a year or two so you have a 'fiancé' at least on paper, but then when something more interesting comes along, you get to go "laters!" and he's all "That's cool. I see your point." Dude has zero agency. Only good part of Sleepless is the part with Rita Wilson where Tom Hanks and the other guy go into a bit about crying over The Dirty Dozen. That was funny :)
I have no interest in companies that decide to move all their manufacturing to countries with unsafe labor practices and a history of polluting our air and oceans. I have zero respect for anyone that would sacrifice human dignity and the collective well being of all humanity in order to improve their bottom line... anyone who thinks like that isn't someone I would expect to appreciate the magic of music and be invested in what they make or sell. You can't afford to buy something made ethically by an adult? Then you can't afford to buy something... that easy... enough with the criminal compromises.
TLDR show me a country or corporation, I’ll show you the crime against the worker and the environment. Y’all ever seen how horrific American corporations are willing to treat thier employees? We had to pass minimum wage laws to force them to pay people fairly, wages have stagnated because corporations can lobby politicians to pass, or ignore legislation to make it better for the working people. Y’all ever seen pictures from before environmental protection laws were passed? Y’all see how that train derailed a few months ago and poisoned an entire community, and likely every community down river. That seems to be partially from the government allowing them to have inferior safety standards to what other countries have, because the train companies lobbied the government to give them special privileges. The largest, most frequent form of theft in America is Wage Theft, perpetrated by big business against the worker. Y’all ever hear of the Radium Girls? Women who were poisoned by their workplace. And most of them died before they could even take legal action against thier employers? Y’all ever hear about the battle Blair Mountain? When the government attacked striking workers to break the strike?

I think a guitar store with a bar is a winner. If you're unsure about that big purchase, go sit down and have some beers until you convince yourself.
The inexpensive approach is good to test some tones but gotta have reliability for gigs.
