Hello Vanesa, I tell you that I currently live in North Carolina, specifically in Durham, I would like to learn English with you personally, obviously I know that everything has a cost but I really need to learn. Tell me, would this be possible?
"Thank you so much, ma'am, for providing such lessons. I remember that day when I first opened the TH-cam browser, and TH-cam recommended your English learning video on family conversation. Since then, I have been regularly watching your videos because you are my favorite teacher. I never found this way of teaching in schools, where the focus is on inculcating the basics into a student's mind. Great job, ma'am!"
Wow! This is pretty much similar to the pharmacies in the Phils., except that we don't have a self-check out counter yet. We still have to wait in line to pay for our items. I love how pharmacies become one-stop shops these days! Thank you always, Vanessa. 🎉❤
I had been in Philadelphia for vacation, and I knew the pharmacies hehe. Very big the places, and very cool the pharmacies with much items haha, like a Walmart. I hope return to Philadelphia and I like soccer team Philadelphia Union!
I like this way of learning english, more real-life scenarios please. Vanessa, I kind of got distracted by your lovely baby, how could she being that well-behaved in the whole video, not demanding your attention though she's awoke. What an adorable baby!
Thank you so much, my Grand Teacher, beloved Vanessa!🥰 The quite captivating lesson, it contains a useful vocabulary, essential phrases etc! Highly recommended for watching!😉
Baby Matilda's cuteness is killing me😂❤ i cannot learn anything at all today! 😅 Kidding... I really like watching your lovely smile and bubbly self. And i love watching these "USA LIVE" types of videos. Thank you as always!
In France, where I live. We only have simple pharmacies I mean just medications, cast and all baby stuff. That’s so dope to have this kind of one-stop pharmacy. That could really help sometimes. Thank you Vanessa 😊
Hi Vanessa! Your pharmacy is definitely very different from a Finnish pharmacy. We only have over-the-counter and prescription medicines, and medicinal and health care stuff in our pharmacy. Your pharmacy is a pharmacy and supermarket in one. That's handy! You can get pretty much everything from there. By the way, your baby is “cool, calm, and collected”, didn't cry at all!
Well, been here in the U.S. for years and CVS is my favorite pharmacy. Still learned a lot. Like your easy going manners and how you have highlighted the phrases of interest. Like your pleasant voice and the way you speak, which makes learning English easier and fun. Thank you!
I am Amen NINKUNDA from Burundi. It's just today that I have come to realize that Vanessa is a real person through this live video. I'm so impressed by Vanessa's talent of teaching english. I'm struggling to improve my english proficiency, 3 years ago. But Vanessa has been my favorite teacher. Say hello to your so beautiful baby, Ms Vanessa! And please tell me the secret to boost my english, bye bye!
Excellent English course, very lovely baby. Last year, I also successfully became a father. The baby was born in June last year and is now almost 8 months old. It looks almost the same age as the teacher's baby. Thank you again for your class
I love learning English with you, Vanessa ❤❤❤. By the way, pharmacies in the US are totally different from the ones in my country, especially when talking about the inner place which is like a typical American supermarket or grocery store. I love knowing more interesting things about the US in general, Vanessa has brought them all back to me. I was able to understand almost everything she said in this lesson. And her newest baby named Matilda looks so cute 😍. Thanks a million for sharing everything you know with me like you just did in a very precise, nice and entertaining way as always, Vanessa.
I'm listening to this from Germany while I can't sleep. My dream is to move once to the US. I am a finished male nurse. Thank you for your channel and videos. You are great
In Germany there are only pharmacies where you can buy medicines and healthy stuff. Care products and everything related to the baby are also available in grocery stores or drugstores. You can buy alcohol at the grocery store and at the beverage store
I really love u Vanessa you're my amicable teacher as long as I'm a little busy but i always have time for your great videos ❤❤❤❤ and i will watch them forever ❤❤❤
I lived in Boston for 16 years.15 years .since I have been back in morocco.i am an English Teacher.i am a big fan 🪭 of yours.I miss america.i can't wait to go back.I keep watching your videos so that my fluency doesn't fade.i love you ❤.
Hi, Vanessa! I hope you're doing well and happy Friday! Thank you so much for this incredibly helpful video lesson. It was really thoughtful of you to make videos of your routine errands so that we can have a glimpse of what the places are like in the US. As I'm from São Paulo, Brazil, I couldn't help noticing a couple of different things from US and Brazilian pharmacies, by and large. One thing is about the antibiotic prescription, for instance. You mentioned in your video that your doctor usually sends the prescription to your preferred pharmacy. Here in São Paulo, though, it's culturally normal for a patient to go out of a hospital or a doctor's clinic with the prescription, in hands, and then choose the pharmacy that best offers the lowest price among several other pharmacies nearby. The other thing is about laundry products sold in US pharmacies. Not that I'm aware of, but I don’t think I've ever seen such a thing in Brazilian pharmacies. In my opinion, US pharmacies seem to have a wide range of products available compared to the Brazilian pharmacies that I've been to. No wonder it's called a "one-stop place" over there because you can purchase a lot of stuff on the way to or from a place. As for the expression "over the counter" referred to medications, I think most pharmacies 50 years ago or so did not use to have lots of counters scattered in the store, but just a main one. So, maybe - just maybe -, the pharmacist needed to hand in a certain kind of medication literally "over the counter" to the person buying it, whether the medicine was controlled (like an antibiotic) or not. Just rambling some thought. Anyway, thank you again so much for this great video lesson, and I hope you have a wonderful day and a fantastic weekend! Bye 😊
In Taiwan’s pharmacy we sell medical supplies and some medicinal products for either adults or children. I remember some of them also sell babies diapers and shirts etc. We have no machine for self-checkout. I think it’ll be much more easier if we could use the machine. It’s so different that there’s sweets and dry foods in the US pharmacy! Thank you Vanessa for sharing!
Hi my name is Bella. I'm from Malaysia. Just for sharing, woww it’s totally difference pharmacies in Malaysia. In Malaysia, they sell only medicine, supplements and any healthcare . And the interesting part is that, we don’t need any prescription from doctor if you buy in pharmacies unless any medicine that need prescription need to buy to the hospital or clinic.
Lovely Vanessa! Thank you so much again for providing us with such a brilliant vireo as usual yet should confess that the most amazing part was seeing your super cute baby daughter Matilda, love you very much for your unique and of course to me the best style of teaching English❤❤❤
It contains so many useful expressions that are actually used in the US. I am from South Korea and we don't have this style of pharmacy selling everything in one spot; however, we often have a pharmacy inside the big grocery store. In this grocery store, you can buy or do many things like one-stop shopping, but I don't think you can buy other things in the pharmacy except for medication. You can get your prescribed medication or something over-the-counter in it. Thank you for your wonderful video.
Hi, my dear teacher! Thanks a lot for your very useful lesson! It was really interesting for me. And I'd like to point out that MATILDA IS SO CUTE❤! I was looking at her all the time and smiled 🥰
Thanks a million for the useful tip!!! This is just what I was looking for. I was afraid to adjust to American life. Please make lots of categories so that I memorize all your tips!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Here in Korea, they're not equipped with many items unlike in the US. You can basically buy prescribed medicines and over-the-counter items such as bandages, Vitamin candy, or healthy drinks. I love your channel for learning real life in English.
In India pharmacies will sell only medications. They have few non medication stuffs like candies but not as many non-pharmacy stuffs as in US. They also have medications that can be bought over the counter and medication that can only be bought by prescription. However OTC is not a commonly used term. And pharmacies are very small brick and motor shops and only a pharmacist can pick up the medicine from the shelves and give them to you. Thank you for your kindness for showing us inside a US pharmacy.
Hi, Vanessa, thank you for your video. I didn’t know that pharmacies in the United States are so all-inclusive, like a comprehensive supermarket! I'm from Beijing, China, and the pharmacies here are relatively small. They mainly sell medicines and health products, and maybe a small amount of daily products.
Your videos are so authentic, I have been learning English for more than a decade, and I teach advanced level English, but this channel was the missing piece, props to you
Hi Vanessa, I love your videos, and I was delighted to see you with baby Matilda. She's so cute. Your videos are excellent, they keep my attention, I learn a lot from you, because you show things day in and day out, with a lot of patience and in your delicate and affectionate way that enchants me. Here the pharmacies are smaller and some already sell some chocolates, water, and soft drinks. Thank you very much for sharing your videos. 🥰🥰🥰❤💙❤👏👏👏
Thank you , it's good way to learn English.....in my country there were pharmacy like in America , but the people feeling it's difficult because new there.and in pharmacy there you can buy anything so medicine like antibacterial with out rescrabtion. And there were anything food .like Walmart....I like to watch your videos because it's like movie.and you can made construction... thanks.
Thank you very much for your lesson! ❤ It's great I can see how it looks like in the pharmacy in the US. I'm a pharmacist in Slovakia and it's really different. In pharmacy we have only medication for prescription, OTC medicines, healthy nutrition and vitamine supplements and some cosmetics. And it's much smaller! 😂🇸🇰
I don't know what can I say🙂🙂 I just wanna thank you for spend your time and teach us your knowledge is privilege 2 watch you videos every Friday morning..love it 😊😊😊😊😊 take care you little and cute bby 👶👶👶👶
I absolutely loved this video!! I’m a Pharmacist at CVS 😁 I would have liked you to talk to the pharmacist and ask any question about any medication 😉😉 That way students will know more about American culture I’m a foreign Pharmacist and I subscribed to your TH-cam channel back in 2018 to study for the Toefl test. I’m still subscribe to your channel and let me tell you Vanesa… I’m still learning from you!!! Thank you very much!!!!!
We love watching pharmacy tours (and learning English at the same time)! Every country is so different from each other so it is super interesting to see what each one stocks! Vanessa, your pharmacy is really a one stop shop Thank you for the fun lesson
In Italy pharmacies just sell medicines, sometimes baby food, baby toys, diapers, supplements and reading glasses. Maybe a little section of cosmetics. In USA it's better say a pharmacy is inside a supermarket 😮
Warmest congratulations Venesa on the birth of your gorgeous baby girl! Thank you so much for the timely insightful knowledge about pharmacies and shopping in CVSs in the American pharmacy. I appreciate you.
Hello Ms Vanessa. Thank you for your video this time. I learned a lot from your videos to improve my English speaking skill. I am amazed with the pharmacy in the USA. It's more like the combination of shop/modern market and pharmacy in my country. Pharmacy in my country is generally small and we cannot get by ourselves as you do there. The pharmacyst will take it for us. 😊
Thanks for all your great advice. I really enjoy watching your videos, they provide a lot of knowledge and are very helpful on a daily basis in choosing food when shopping, etc. Thank you ❤✨
