I have a master's degree and 6 years of experience in the field. Your videos are superb and tremendously helpful in refreshing the fundamentals and even going into the details with a new perspective. I have been following your videos from the beginning and your presentation is getting better every new video. Keep up the great work, we need more content like this on TH-cam. I can't wait for new videos on current mode control and ramp compensation to tackle the stability issue for D>0.5. Thanks so much Professor Alonso.

    Like before watching.
And waiting for slope compensation in D>0.5 converters. Thanks for your work!

Many Thanks 🙏 Sir...I have been waiting for this video ..one request there are different control methods like voltage mode , current mode ,hysteretic , what are the advantages and disadvantage of these methodology and how it is different from constant on time control ,pwm control its very confusing for beginners....if you could make one video it would be a great help

Each control method has its own advantages and disadvantages. VMC is harder to compensate due to -40dB slope of LC output filter, and most likely need Type 3 compensation circuit. VMC response slow. CMC is easier to single pole at output transfer function, and only need type 2 compensation circuit. Its response due to load transient faster. Most SMPS now a day using CMC method. Hope that help.

@@user-power_electronics Many Thanks for your explanation.
VMC and CMC I got it but I don't understand about what is the advantage of constant on and off time control, feedforward control??
And VMC and CMC are related to above control methods.

@@biswajit681 Look like you are talking about the new power control scheme using Constant On Time (COT) method. In this COT control mode, the voltage feedback compare with a reference voltage and generate turn on time through a comparator instead using Error Amplifier from Current Mode Control method. There is no need for compensation circuit which make it reacts a lot faster. However, the output need to have some ripple to make it works by either using Tantalum Capacitor output or sensing the ripple current across output inductor.

Dear M. A., your presentations are always rich, even for one who know about this subject. One question: do you have any video about the Average Mode Control? Does this control mode would be better as peak current mode control for pulsanting loads, line one printehead, for example, where in one moment the load is full and in the nest time the load is almost zero? Regards.

Hello, thanks for your comment. For pulsating loads, one of the best control methods is hysteretic control. It is used, for example, in pwm dimming for LED loads. See video on LED drivers on this channel

Can you do it for constant current flyback converter in boundary conduction mode ?

Hello Marcos thanks for a god explanation
    - It is better one video about duty cycle greater than 0.5 to see how to compensate it. mnay thanks.
