I like how no one reacts when her voice cracks, but everyone cheers when she gets it. Thats how a supportive team environment is supposed to sound

this is how it was in my high school choir, all 4 years. and if the culprit giggled, u could giggle too 😁 but it always felt so judgement free and supportive
I was in varsity choir my whole 4 yrs of high school and I gotta say.. we were all so supportive of each other. ✨ I had the best director!!!! Miss him so much and those sweet memories ❣️ sheesh it’s been almost 10yrs since I graduated
Only people who can’t sing or are embarrassed to sing in public taunt a singer when they crack. Everyone who works hard to perfect and diversity their talent understands what a mistake is and is proud of others for persevering. That’s not just for singing but for anything.

I promise anyone who is learning music professionally don’t care at all about a crack. These classrooms are usually a very safe space to make ugly noises
It’s not confidence as much as it is tenacity
Oh man in my singing classes there’s always cracks and strange vocal noises that come out when they’re not supposed to, hopefully you can have the confidence!
It instantly becomes less embarrassing and more like “damn let me try again”
Successful people would have never achieved anything by letting fear dictate them.

Voice placement is everything
And this vowel placement is wrong. It's not a whole lot more open (ay is similar to ee in its vocal placement), it's wrong (in that it doesn't sound like the vowel she's supposed to be singing) and it adds a diphthong to a word that doesn't have on in it, which makes it harder to sing in addition to sounding odd.
The correct way to adjust the "ee" sound is to sing more of an "eh" sound which will still produce the right vowel sound for the listener and also improve the placement because it's a more open placement.
This is amateur hour stuff. You could swing a dead cat and hit an unqualified vocal coach.
It honestly seems nice taking a class like that where everyone cheers you on because that is really helpful when it comes to giving them confidence to keep learning and they will be amazing
Yes! This is thesfest! Our schools troupe goes every year! It is so so so fun to be around this many theater students and everyone cheer for you while you learn with other teachers and adults that share our passion 😁

I’m sure she was aware….this one clip was not her foundation of having learned she had a voice. She is there because it’s a passion and she’s likely hit these notes before but with the correct teaching she can use her voice much more efficiently

@@em.marlinI have no clue what the first reply is even talking about. We all have a natural vibrato, some are more naturally gifted in it; that’s what aptitudes are, so I have no clue why that person said it’s not learned nor a gift, what does that even mean lol. Keep practicing though and push push push your voice. Try to keep sound out of your nose or throat and keep it coming from as low in your belly as you can feel. Take a deep breath in and hold onto the note until the natural vibrator kicks in, find that spot in your voice, and keep working at it. There’s lot of resources on here that can help more than I can, but if you start here you’ll develop your skills in no time!! :)
@@em.marlin you weren't offensive in the least. The person replying to you didn't seem to understand that for many people, a solid, sustainable vibrato takes work and training to attain and sustain and worded their reply to you in a way that could indicate frustration. (All the extra question marks will do that in some parts of the world). It's often just differences in how people write in different parts of the world. When in doubt, ignore it. 😉💙

i would cry if i finally got it. training yourself to belt with stability and clarity is so difficult. i’m proud of how far i’ve come but im not there yet. vocal lessons are expensive

I loved choir so much .. loved when I got superior in state competitions. My class was even once requested to sing at Carnegie Hall. Sadly i don’t think they ever took up the offer. We talked about it but I did leave school early the next year it was supposed to happen. But other than that , choir is just only understood from a few.. for me I just get so excited when I see videos like this , I had the best choir teachers.. ❤

I always had a hard time you can always blame an instrument for cracking but when the voice cracks there’s nothing but you. Bad thinking never allowed me to pursue it. We had supportive teachers just not supportive classmates. Makes all the difference ❤

I took a contemporary voice and coaching class in college it was private lessons and went pretty much exactly like this. Was only a semester long and I still use every single thing I learned and it completely changed the way I sound
My social awkwardness and social phobia cry when I see how she is not afraid to practice in front of people, and it is very nice to see that people respond adequately to mistakes and support when she succeeds.
That very last note she pushed through. You could hear the power and confidence pushing through

Always was told I'd be a mezzo alto or alto, never a soprano.
Just didn't have the right teacher. She taught like this and I could range with even those higher sopranos out there. Love and miss it

Voice lesson can never make you have a good singing voice. Good singing voice is natural. GOD'S GIFT. these lesson are just technical teaching.
