- Koala Habitat | City Zoo | Australia Pack | Speed Build | Planet Zoo | Australia DLC | Exhibit | Enclosure | Cassowary | Habitat Tour | In this episode, we finally are able to use the Australian pieces in our City Zoo. We will finish the Riviera Hall (Rotterdam Zoo) on the other side with these Australian animals. For the Koala we build an indoor and outdoor habitat. I would love to hear from you guys what animal you think fits best on the other side of the hallway in our Riviera Hall. Thank you so much for your amazing support.
PS. If you are wondering why the tour isn't as good quality as normally. My recording software decided to record with not synced audio vs footage. No matter what I try, I just can't get it fixed. So I had to record this last tour with OBS instead. I am trying to see how I can fix this in the future with maybe different recording software, cause it really makes me unhappy to provide footage like this to you. I am SO sorry! Just to point it out, once the cassowary exhibit comes up, in the wild they prefer really heavily forested habitats (almost jungle-like) so it could be an idea to place them close to the Amazon dome or close to another jungle animal habitat to give it a smoother look rather than placing a jungle animal in the middle of a load of desert living animals like the kangaroo and Dingo.

I absolutely love the new video format, with the commented tour at the end, where I can see how everything fits together with the surroundings and in the context of the whole zoo! Brilliant job, as always!
I think the cassowary is a good fit. Since the dingo needs a ton of space per their requirement. And the kangaroo too so you get the full affect of the jumping they do. The cassowary don't need a ton of space and only can have max two.
Also along with the koala grass through head. They also disappear in the trunks of big trees when they are climbing its funny to see their heads pop out as they go.
The baby dingoes are so cute!

I think that you can maybe put the dingo or the kangaroo on the other side of the path of the outside area.

Don't you think there are too many big trees in front of the restaurant. It's a pity one can't see the nice shape and the glass of the building from the outside. Love the way to the outdoor section though! So dense and overgrown.

I hope they add "Quokka's" to the Australian pack, mainly because I really want to hear Delady's reaction to them. 😁 I also think they would be perfect for smaller "intimate" habitats.
Love this habitat, Although maybe would have used a little more of the rusted corrugated iron roofs.
I would love Quokkas although I don't think they would add an extra animal post release of the pack

For hours this morning I was watching steam to see if the Australia Pack had been released and now I’m so excited it is finally here. The first habitat I did was the koala as well and it’s more of a simple habitat but I love this detail in this amazing zoo!! Love the habitat, keep up the amazing work.

Argeed, it's a tropical/forest animal so it would fit nice with a similar aesthetic to the koala whereas the dingo and kangaroo are more open plains animals and I feel like need more running space as well.

I think the cassowary would be a great fit! The kangeroos would need more space and the dingos Don t really feel right in the Riviera Hall. So go cassowaries!

I do kind of wish the baby animals had age stages, like small newborns, then active juveniles and then like awkward teenage stage right before they grow up for all the animals, but I realize that would be so much work for Frontier to make animations for 60+ of the animals already! But it’s nice that they took into account the very unique way marsupials have their babies.

WOW you are really the Goddess of creativity! You're such an inspiration, but I'm still lacking good execution :/ I tried to make an indoor pangolin exhibit similar to yours and it turned out ok-ish but I think your pangolins would really pity the ones in my zoo xD anyways keep up the AMAZING work, always really great to watch your videos!
Like how you took the original and put your own touch on this one. You said you had a mod that slows down the aging? Or is that an option IN game?
Thats an ingame option 😊 there are no officially supported mods for Planet Zoo 😊 so I dont use any mods 😊
I think cassowaries is a good choice as it might be too small for kangaroos and dingoes and they might be more in keeping with the quiet alcove you have set up:)

You could always use the Saltwater Croc as a fifth Australian animal.
Because the Cassowaries are so much like dinosaurs, maybe you can make their exhibit integrate with the dinosaur museum somehow? It would be neat to have the extinct dinosaurs right next to modern day ones.
Even though i don’t like the theme off the zoo it is still amazing

You are right, honestly? Cassawary is probably best, I think Dingos and Kangaroos rate a bit more spare and room to move.

i personally was really looking forward to the australia pack because wouldnt it be so cool to have a platypus habitat, or a tasmanian devil habitat, but no they only gave us these four animals.

I think either the kangaroo or the cassowary would fit in that building to keep the building with only herbivores.

maybe something like a tree top walkway thro the casowary exhibit, give a large open view of thier enclousure kinda like tghe jurassai world t rex log exhibit
its so crazy to see these kinds of builds... my zoos are so boring compared to yours hahaha

Eggs could be birthed in a similar process like the Koalas. Instead of a pouch, it’s the eggs. Maybe there could be a nest that you place down, and the eggs show up and then hatch? Idk but that could make senseeee.

I have a question regarding using rocks as the entire terrain/floor like in this build; how do you know if the animals are able to walk over the rock? I had a big issue when I tried this with the terrain becoming not traversable for the animals.
Check their traversable area in the heatmap 😊
They could also just make the juvenille sized animal appear next to the egg as it adds another layer even if it isnt realistic, still would be better than the current system

@DeLadysigner ik heb een vraagje voor je. Ik ben al een tijdje naar je video's aan het kijken, de meeste van je creaties vind ik echt fantastisch :D
Nu ben ik sinds kort zelf wat aan het knoeien en proberen en ondervindt daarbij moeilijkheden met bepalen hoe groot iets moet zijn. Bv als ik een shelter bouw heb ik altijd het gevoel dat ik eindig met iets ter grote van het centraal station in antwerpen.
Misschien een paar tips?
Cassowaries might look a little strange next to a desert animal, I think Dingoes or Kangaroos are better.
