I really liked this video. I was surprised when you got the second half of the rocks into the yard, from our view it did not look like it was going to fit. Good job. Thank you for posting.
I have a bigab hook lift trailer for my tractor to. Using it frequently for hauling my excavator and materials. A tip for when you setting dow and taking up the container is to move the tractor and trailer instead of the container. For instance, when you are taking the container up, you are reversing in to the container. When you do that it's easier to align the rollers. I do this all the time. Bigab is a really neat hook lift trailer for it's price.
Hi and thanks for the tip. Yes I've learned a lot during this summer since this video. When reversing while lifting it will pull up a full container 😁 you will see in the video part 3 of learning to use the BigAb. There i struggle to find out a lot of things 😉
Great video as always! Here in The Netherlands we call this trailer type a container carrier. You will see them often if you are in the countryside. Most of them have 3 axles and a 30m3 box on it. They're mostly used by small company's that rent their equipment to farmers.
Thanks. Here we have a lot of trucks also that uses hook lift, more normal on trucks than trailers. You lose a bit of loading weight compared to a normal trailer, but for me the possibility to put the container down is more important
Does the back of the skip lock to the trailer when it is loaded? Or is it only held on by the hook at the front. I've seen some trucks which have hydraulic clamps near the back rollers which grip the sides of each beam. Looks like a very efficient way to transport your machines and soil, should make life easier for you.
Ok this trick is awesome almost like I'm dropping the camera now, works great also for setting the container down 😁👍 thanks for the tip

Some of the houses in the background have rel. mild "pitches," perhaps, 3-in-12...! Does that suggest rugged construction or a rel. light "snow load" in Dec., Jan., Febr.??? Also, is that site the SOURCE of that stone, or was it hauled in from some outlying quarry?
It's not allowed to build anything that doesn't have the proper snowload calculations, but many places it's so open so the snow blows away. The stone is from a neighbor town called Alta they have a quarry for this type of rocks. So I get it shipped in by truck.

Nice video👍 just came across it. I've always wanted a hooklift trailer and different skips for different jobs 😊. One place I work has a T5 115, it's a great yard tractor but not sure about road work. You'll find the brakes on the tractor will work well (automatic 4 wheel braking is great!) But just be careful if you have a full 14t load, the tractor will only weigh about 5t with loader on. Oh and I noticed you were in 4x4 on the road, be carefully you don't wind up the axle ☺. I prefer my mb trac for road work 😊. Hope it all works out well with your new purchase 😊👍
Hi glad you liked it will be many more of this two in work 😊 luckily the trailer has its own brakes so that helps a lot, actually stops really well. The T5 is only allowd to tow 3tonns if the trailer doesn't have brakes and 25 tonns of it has brakes. Almost i bought a MB trac a couple of years ago just for pulling trailers.
Oh no, so that means you will have to get a larger excavator to max out the trailer's carrying capacity. ;-) Really nice bit of kit, a hooklift trailer.
When you hooking on that trailer with hook. No handbrake let the tractor freewheel back in under the bin. Then let the chassis of the trailer take the weight. Then pull your bin on.. That's how I do it.
Koblet den bare rett i kontakten til rotorlampa som stod der. Var 2 hull med gjenger i taket som jeg satt den fast i, så den sitter kun fester bak men sitter som støpt.
As well as a snowplow tractor, you are spot on. This tractor is perfect for that. But with this trailer I see some problems, the trailer are probably too heavy for such a small tractor. I sometimes saw it almost Took control when bakcing up the tractor. I'm also unsure if you will be able to back up and turn sharply on, for example, dry asphalt. You need a lot of weight in the butt, off the tractor too turn the trailer in revers. To feel comfortable, remember it is better the tractor is in control over the trailer and not vice versa. Remember you have both the weight and horsepower rule. Otherwise hats off for a great video as usual.
Both weight and horsepower are well above the totall weight of the trailer, I guess you are referring to when I was putting the container on and tried to back up to get it to line up, then I had the tractor in 2wd so not a chance 🙄 but when I have the truck bed on and full of rock I back up the hill without any problem. But you might be right haven't tested it to much yet, and not to much experience with tractors and trailers. . I have had a full load on it driving 30 minutes was no problem, speed record was 13kmt at lowest speed up a hill, but on the straits it was 40kmt. So far I feel comfortable with it. And I agree the machine pulling should be in charge, not the trailer , maybe there will be an engine tune in the future for more hp🔮😁 Thanks glad you enjoyed it 😊
@@MiniMachines1 If you switch to summer tires then you will probably get better grip. I heard your spikes slide on the asphalt. When loading and unloading and backing. You might consider putting weights on the rear wheels, or filling the tires with fluid. Then you will get a little more weight in the tractor. There are both pluses and minuses to tuning an engine. You will probably have problems with any warranty. And it will probably go warmer. I like best original engines.
Du må ha 7hk pr tonn du skal trekke så med min på 115 hk kan jeg trekke ca 16 tonn, men så er det noe med vekt i forhold til traktor også, så ikke bare å bli klok på, men ingen problem med 14 tonn som min henger er.
Interesting video! I'm planning on implementing a similar setup! How far are your typical distances in between customers? One of my concerns is causing traffic to back up and causing issues... people aren't very used to seeing tractors on the road in our area...
Hi 😊 around town is about 5km between coustomers, but to dump access dirt I need to drive 10km and to buy gravel 15km work our hills i get lowest speed 15kmh going up so than I get som traffic behind. But this small town with a population of only 14.000 is bot much traffic and I always try to let cars pass when I can 😊
@@MiniMachines1 so how do you like the t5? That's a tractor I'm also looking at. We currently have a Case Farmall 65 and I'm pretty happy with that. I do wish it had some more power though for going up hills...
It's nice to drive, comfortable and a good driver environment. It's not fast up hills work the trailer, with 14tonns on the hook it's 13kmt up the steepest hills here, but on the flats it's 40kmt. I will look into chipping it to 140hk
