  • Easy to make wire wrapped gemstone ring.
    Feel free to make these to sell at festivals or craft shows!
    These rings are a best seller for me at markets!
    I came up with this design when i was sitting at my booth one summer.
    The wire I'm using is 20 gauge base wire and 26 gauge wire to secure the beads.
    bead sizes are 4mm and 2mm.

    Excellent tutorial! Two suggestions. A bit more volume-remember, down is easy but up has limits for those of us who dont use earbuds. Second, close ups would be super helpful! If your camera has issues with that, get a great big magnifying glass and shoot through that. Works a treat.
    Off to build some of your awesome creations and check your other videos!

    I think your rings are cute and are appealing to the younger people. Im fairly new at wire wrapping. I can only wish I could do the high end wraps, but I have arthritis in my hands. Your adorable rings are perfect for me to do. Thank you for your tutorial. I enjoyed it very much. I would love to see more of your work and future tutorials.

      If by "high end wraps" you mean layered, "heady" style wraps, you can make the process of making things like coils and coiled coils easier on your hands by using a drill. You'd need a drill with a collet/chuck (whatever it's called) that can adjust to hold on to thinner wires but it would let you experiment with making components without risking pain in your hands. :)

    Thank you for this quick and easy to do tutorial! I love the versatility and beauty of your rings. I'm going to make some for my female family and friends. Kudos to you for showing us beginners such an easy way to make something beautiful! I think your method is the best ring video I've ever seen on TH-cam, and I look forward to seeing more of your work! Thanks again.

    What length of wire do you use.

    • @hookandstonecreations1229
      @hookandstonecreations1229  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I usually cut it a little longer than i need so its easier to handle but for the ring you will need around 6-8" 20 gauge and around the same for the 26 gauge.
      If you want to eliminate scrap and save wire, you can make one and take not of how much you needed to trim for each size and subtract that from your beginning length.

    I love this ring. It is so dainty and cute. My granddaughter will love this. I'm gonna make me some too, lol. Thank you so much. Oh I do have one question. Your video states 20 gauge but is that square wire or round? Looking at the video it looks square but video's can be deceiving. Again thank you.

    You don’t tell us the length of the wire or size of the beads. That would have been helpful. Other than that, good tutorial. Trying now.

    Part of the ring tutorial is good. But you should measure out your wire a lot better than you do. You are wasting a lot of wire, plus wrapping the wire in between the turquoise gemstone beads is unnecessary, not to mention unattractive. It would be much better to use daisy spacers in between, and gold filled beads at the ends. It will look much more professional that way, and not look like a wired mess.

      Wow! What a rude ass comment. Everyone does things their own way. She’s showing how SHE does it. Get the fuck outta here!

      Didn't your mother ever tell you that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all!?! She is showing you how SHE makes them, not necessarily how YOU should make them! So stay out of it if you only have negative comments!

    • @thepurplerosejewelrydesign1646
      @thepurplerosejewelrydesign1646 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, not sorry. It's a waste of wire, and it's just not professionally made.

      One day it’ll dawn on you how awful you’ve been…it’ll be a steep hill back up again. Enjoy! What you like isn’t necessarily what the whole population of the world likes! That’s the beauty of life. You aren’t the authority hunny 🙄

      People can never handle honesty. The whole reason my business is as successful as it is, is because of my customers feedback, and also suggestions. Like, "I'd love to see you make sterling silverware jewelry." A suggestion from one of my best customers. Now I make silverware rings, pendants, bracelets and earrings. They're unique and sell well. Another customer said she thought one of my designs would look better without a certain part to it. So I omitted it, and she was right. It looked much better. Sometimes other people know better than you. I gave constructive criticism. As harsh as it may be, it just doesn't look like something that was made well. There's always room for improvement in everything. If you don't like people making comments, no matter what they may be, then simply turn off comments, so that no one will be able to make any.
      Problem solved.
