I shopped around for over 2 years for a new pickup and went from my 2008 RAM 1500 to a 2019 F-150 FX4. The new RAMS are nice but the reviews concerning the electronic troubles along with being priced too high for most working people (me anyway) edged me to a FORD. $18K off sticker for my 302 Coyote was also a factor. BTW I not a brand fanboy, I have owned cars/trucks from all the BIG 3 and they still each make something I would drive.
Glad you went with a 5.0 instead of ecoboost. These rams are nice however I prefer the 2500/3500 as its essentially a perfected 4th gen and have almost no problems as of yet!
This is why I love Ram. If this is your only vehicle If you have a family, this truck has your toughness, your comfort and your reliability. People knocking the price,,, listen, how much do you THINK a vehicle with this level of luxury is gonna cost? Be real, if it is out of your pricepoint, then look at one of the other levels, but don't refer to it as "overpriced" just because it is overpriced FOR YOU ! thats just ignorant.
I ordered the 3500 Laramie Longhorn dually. If you love Dodge you'll lose your mind in that truck. There are no words to describe that truck. You'll feel like a celebrity EVERYWHERE you go. I live in Miami near South Beach where Bentley's Bugattis and Ferraris are everywhere but my Ram is what turns heads. Get one lol
I have a Granite Crystal grey Ram Limited equipped exactly like that truck except mine has painted bumpers. It listed for 71,000, I got 10,000 off. It's still a lot of money but I had 19,000 equity in my 2019 Limited trade, so that helped. I love the Rambox's and the multi function tailgate.
Finally, a RAM model to get me to consider switching out of my 2019 Ford F150 Limited. This 2020 RAM Limited has the total package for me. Color, screen, power fold mirror, RAM box, 60/40 tailgate and considerable interior storage. The price is no concern as I'd be saving money. My 2019 Ford F150 Limited stickered above $74k. But, I have massaging seats, power telescopic steering column, and bed step.
You Never Ever should pay sticker price... oh do what I just did, bought a 2017 1500 4WD Express 3.6 V6 with 46,000 miles for $23K, the stick on that was $41K... even if the original owner paid high $30K I got for $12-$15K less, and I still have some factory warranty left. Call me Smart and never late for Dinner.
J Sean I don’t mind a commercial here or there rather then paying for TH-cam. I will keep my free TH-cam and use that money I would spend on something else. Smart money management makes you rich not tossing it away just to not have a commercial here or there. Not being rude just stating a fact.

And only $ 71,600! + your first born ! Putting a pallet in.... no way Jose ! I have yet to find need of a sun roof. Here in Houston in the summer time you can cook potatoes in it. My 2016 Laramie has most of these features. I added electric running boards about 2 months ago. I ordered my RAM 1500 custom with the Delmonique Crystal Pearl Red color with silver accent running down on the bottom ! I love the heated steering wheel and heated seats ! I did activate my auto-windshield wipers what are great too! I found out that I could get the 12" big monitor dash installed now for only $ 2,000. I did get the Max Care Lifetime Warranty that is good for 1,000,000 miles and it coveres 5,000 things and gives you a loaner vehicle. Ram is one great truck...

I recently got the 2019 Laramie Longhorn Edition. The tailgate and ram box I didn't get. Other than that the only difference is I got 2 wheel drive and No sunroof. Don't really care for or use sunroofs. I do wish I had gotten 4 wheel drive though I haven't needed it yet. And yes I have the E-Torque. I'll have to check but that thing about the back part of the center console being deeper on the Limited, may be wrong. My Longhorn I think is the same. Oh and these Truck will only do 104 MPH. and they do get the MPGs advertised. I have roughly 8000 miles on mine so far.

Very nice truck. Next time you open that driver's door, tell us the payload capacity. I'll bet with all that storage, Rambox etc. Its only about 1200 to 1300 lbs. Put a family of 4 plus a trailer on that you wont be able to put much more in it.
Beautiful truck indeed. Keep what you have for a few more years and then the 2020's will probably be hovering around 50k on the used market. I have an 11 Ridgeline so waiting a few years won't be an issue..
@@DeLoEnterprises Yeah, I see that the big three often advertise 10k or more off of MSRP. I'm not sure what to think of that. I would feel better if the MSRP was 10 or 15K lower as more people like me would probably look at them.
Great video & information on what everything did, not a big fan with the electric motor to help save gas, does that shut the motor off at full stop & restart it when you give it some gas, does it have a way of shutting it off on the inside? By the way don't worry about the haters out there, they are afraid to spend some money to have something nice. One more thing, how much, love to have it, I'm not afraid.

If there weren’t such large RAM labeling on this truck, it looks like a truck that could wear any manufactures badge/signature on it. The interior is very attractive though. I think the screen is just too big,of course in my opinion. I think the Ram “Classic” has more exterior character/attitude though. Doesn’t it concern anyone about the massive amount of electronics in todays vehicles? These vehicles will in a few years of usage become nightmares of expensive maintenance. Nice when everything works, but a seriously big concern as they age. I wish them continued success though.

It is a beautiful looking vehicle. Sadly, they let themselves down here in New Zealand as RAM do not make by themselves a Right Hand Drive version. They are all sent to Australia and then rebuilt RHD. The only model available is the Laramie... I guess a great way to increase the price by having to have it rebuilt instead of doing it that way to start with. I feel they would be so much more popular over here if they 1. Build as RHD and not had to pay to get it rebuild as a RHD and 2. We actually got the option of the Limited which is a stunning vehicle. But I guess we are too small to matter :(
I could buy a house for the price of that truck. I mean maybe half a house Ha Ha. They are just over priced but they are nice. I drive a 2009 dodge 5.7 Hemi and I love it. Its paid off and I don't have to worry about that bill anymore. I can't count the number of trucks I have owned. A lot or bought for me my wife my kids two many. God Bless

Those tires will suck going down a gravel road with almost no sidewall. Get 18 inch 70 series tires for over truck functionality. These tires will be really great on pavement!

Don't get the air suspension, it can't handle the cold, it will fail and cost you $4000 to fix. Mine died just after warranty, lost my job and truck. Almost lost our lives on the highway , hit a bump and ended up going the wrong way with 0 suspension, very dangerous.
first of all can you figure out who this is..and yes I'm very fortunate owning 5 different brand new trucks in 5 years and now I'm happy with my 19 Ram Limited.
I see the below comments regarding costs and of course one simpleton has to get friggin nasty with a response to a comment about how this is out of the middle classes reach. These vehicles ARE definitely out of the middle classes reach. All dealerships like to advertise the top of the line vehicle while showing a lease/ buy price for an almost base model. I'm sure a large # of people would like to get the top of the line but prices today just won't allow it unless you make 6 figures or more.

Looks super nice, but the build quality is not good. My 2015 had the exhaust bolts break and the radio went out. I also have weird electrical problems like the driver side window not wanting to roll up with one touch. The AC also loses the re-circulation at random. You have it on and it just turns off at random when driving. Dealer was unable to fix those issues. I also had a paint bubble on my hood after 3 years. Ram denied a paint defect. Paint warranty only covers rust and an aluminum hood will not rust. Stick to Ford or Toyota if you want quality.
If I am not mistaken GM's multi fold tailgate is a FLOP. I think it hits the tow hitch on the way down,and had damaged some tailgates already. This RAM's tailgate is so practical,and DIFFERENT.
I have to disagree... it looks to feminine on the exterior. The 2020 GMC looks more aggressive .... However RAM has knock the interior out if the park.(with the big display) and I like the Side RAM Boxes ....,but the tailgate crease stands out too much with it being off center,at least in white. Got to say though RAM is definitely stepping up their game!
Hey to each there own !.... I have a regular tailgate and It works just great... but all this competition will breed innovation and Im excited to see what comes next. One thing with all these fancy tailgates is I hate to see what it cost to fix them if they break...or get a little damage. 💵💸😫

I'd go with a Ram Limited vs a Ford Limited IMO, although the Ford Limited is SOOOO nice.
It's a really nice truck, but $71,000, I couldn't see spending that much on a truck that will begin to deprecate as soon as you drive it off the lot.

I dont think its a limited exclusive, The dealer said they tweaked the storage bin making it a tad deeper.

It is a beautiful looking vehicle. Sadly, they let themselves down here in New Zealand as RAM do not make by themselves a Right Hand Drive version. They are all sent to Australia and then rebuilt RHD. The only model available is the Laramie... I guess a great way to increase the price by having to have it rebuilt instead of doing it that way to start with. I feel they would be so much more popular over here if they 1. Build as RHD and not had to pay to get it rebuild as a RHD and 2. We actually got the option of the Limited which is a stunning vehicle. But I guess we are too small to matter :(

I could buy a house for the price of that truck. I mean maybe half a house Ha Ha. They are just over priced but they are nice. I drive a 2009 dodge 5.7 Hemi and I love it. Its paid off and I don't have to worry about that bill anymore. I can't count the number of trucks I have owned. A lot or bought for me my wife my kids two many. God Bless

Those tires will suck going down a gravel road with almost no sidewall. Get 18 inch 70 series tires for over truck functionality. These tires will be really great on pavement!
I doubt this truck will be doing much off roading or even dirt road driving!
Keep it a few years and see how many issues show up. FCA never been known for vehicles that are quality/long lasting
Depending on what year and how well you take care of it it should last.

If I'm going to commit to paying more for a vehicle than my Dad did for a 6000 square foot house in 1972, I need to know that it won't blow up as my SRT Charger did.

Don't get the air suspension, it can't handle the cold, it will fail and cost you $4000 to fix. Mine died just after warranty, lost my job and truck. Almost lost our lives on the highway , hit a bump and ended up going the wrong way with 0 suspension, very dangerous.
You would think Ram would look into that especially being based in a northern climate!

I see the below comments regarding costs and of course one simpleton has to get friggin nasty with a response to a comment about how this is out of the middle classes reach. These vehicles ARE definitely out of the middle classes reach. All dealerships like to advertise the top of the line vehicle while showing a lease/ buy price for an almost base model. I'm sure a large # of people would like to get the top of the line but prices today just won't allow it unless you make 6 figures or more.
These are for business owners than can write it off!

Looks super nice, but the build quality is not good. My 2015 had the exhaust bolts break and the radio went out. I also have weird electrical problems like the driver side window not wanting to roll up with one touch. The AC also loses the re-circulation at random. You have it on and it just turns off at random when driving. Dealer was unable to fix those issues. I also had a paint bubble on my hood after 3 years. Ram denied a paint defect. Paint warranty only covers rust and an aluminum hood will not rust. Stick to Ford or Toyota if you want quality.
quality went up after 2015 IMO sorry about your luck, every brand has its issues!

If I am not mistaken GM's multi fold tailgate is a FLOP. I think it hits the tow hitch on the way down,and had damaged some tailgates already. This RAM's tailgate is so practical,and DIFFERENT.

I have to disagree... it looks to feminine on the exterior. The 2020 GMC looks more aggressive .... However RAM has knock the interior out if the park.(with the big display) and I like the Side RAM Boxes ....,but the tailgate crease stands out too much with it being off center,at least in white. Got to say though RAM is definitely stepping up their game!

Hey to each there own !.... I have a regular tailgate and It works just great... but all this competition will breed innovation and Im excited to see what comes next. One thing with all these fancy tailgates is I hate to see what it cost to fix them if they break...or get a little damage. 💵💸😫
