Beautiful!! You explain things so well. I have only made a few bags but I think I can do this. My only question, and I hope you can help me, because of my previous cancer I am unable to carry a large bag. I would like to make this 2 inches smaller side to side and 2 inches shorter. Would this be impossible? I would really appreciate your help. Thanks.
@bettybell1909 oh thankyou very much for your gorgeous comment, I sincerely hope your doing well from your cancer. I myself just got cleared of my cancer in 1 spot and I just have a little bit left. The bag is 12" wide at the widest point and 10.5" high. You could certainly make it smaller but just remember to make the zipper strip shorter also. The pockets would need to be adjusted also but that would be a minor adjustment.
Oh, thank you ☺️ very much for saying so, I am super happy that you found this tutorial helpful 😊. Please consider subscribing and liking the video as it will help my channel to grow. I hope I'm able to help you more in the future. God bless.
It is beautiful. Wish I had had this to follow when I sewed mine, I might have done it in half the time instead of 4 weeks. Thank you for the tutorial. Im heading over to your ultimate travel bag tutorial now.
Aw thanks I'm working my way though all the bag patterns but atm I'm slowed down by health issues/surgery. Currworking on road trip. Glad you enjoyed the tutorial 😀 I hope you enjoy more of them.
Oh, it is most definitely one of the easiest to bind, and yes, binding on the outside would change its look. And I think give more structure to the bag overall. It's definitely worth trying for sure. And I'm feeling much better so I will be back at it this week so stay tuned for more tutorials 😊 thankyou so much for supporting my channel ❤️
im having trouble with the binding saw in one of your vidios you put front and back tog first and then binding found 2 1/4 not veyr big enough how do you find it your a good teacher thank you
@ruthgreen7424 G'day hun thankyou for the massive compliment. I'm very happy you think so. I used 2" binding I find I get a neater result with that size. You could put either the front or back on first then bind it, and then do the other side with ever is easier for you. I try to follow the pattern so everyone can follow along with theirs. Let me know if you need any more help.
@ruthgreen7424 G'day hun it will be easy for you also after a little practice trust me you got this. As for the binding, I do mine 2" wide. I do that with the other bags also. I find it works better for me. For me, anything over 2" seems really big if that makes sense, and I can never get it to look nice. But everyone has their own preferences. Sewing mends the soul ♥️. Happy sewing from Queensland Australia 😀
Hi. Just wondering if you are still happy with your vma machine? I’m considering buying an industrial machine and was set on a Juki. I’ve never heard of vma. The cost of the vma seems more affordable. Thanks cheryl
@@craftsbycheryl74 I got mine from echinda sewing in Brisbane give them a call. They will ship them if they don't have a shop near you. And your very welcome I absolutely love my 2.
Hello Jo-anne, thank you very much. I thought the material I was using looked so much better with that pattern, and I'm glad you agree. I sell the hardware from my fb page. Happy to post to Canada, I post to the US alot.

I wonder if this is a good bag to try the binding on the outside? If it is easier than some of the other bags, and needs a more structured look

I see that your fabric and soft and stable is quilted, did you quilt a whole piece on embroidery machine? Any tips for that?
G'day Vickie, I did quilt it, yes, but I just used my normal sewing machine, tho I do suggest working from the middle out if that makes sense.
