Here's the entire splatoon lore. Why, idk: So like 1000 years into the future the sea level has risen a tremendous amount and sea life had made it to land. The octopi became octarians and the squid became inkling. They slowly adapted to the surface and became more and more humanoid (hence why they die in water. They forgot how to swim). They lived in harmony until there wasn't enough land for the both of them so they had a war. The great turfwar. The Inklings won and the octarians were driven underground. The city of colors has become more modern and they needed electricity. They found the great zap fish to power their technology and everything was going great. Enter Splatoon 1: An inkling found a old coot in a man hole and followed him. He's actually the leader of a group called the squidbeak splatoon. The young inkling must save the great zapfish from Octavio, the octarian leader. The Inkling, now known as 3 has gone and saved the day. She goes on a survey mission with Cap’n Cuttlefish (the old coot) for about 4 years or so. Enter splatoon 2: the great Zap Fish was stolen again so another young inkling must save the day. Now considered an agent by Marie, 4 goes and stops Octavio and saves the day. Enter Octo Expansion: during 3's mission trip an octoling (the more humanoid octopus) attacks her and beats 3. They all get attacked by someone or something and Cuttlefish and the Octoling wake up in the deep sea metro. The octoling lost his memory and teams up with the coot to escape. They must find the 4 THANGS to escape but the THANGS were a trap! They end up in a blender but 3 saves them. 3 gets mind controlled and attacks 8 on a elevator. He fights back and wins and now he's fighting a VAPOR WAVE STATUE. 8 saves Inkopolis and octolings are welcome there. A little while after that whole event 3 and 8 have eventually gotten in a relationship with each other. It's over... finally... That took a long time... =_=
@Duali I was trying to make a tomwiz reference that you wouldn’t get, sorry about that. But according to actual splatoon lore, the statue is its own new thing entirely, called the N.I.L.S Statue. But I can definitely see where you’re coming from.
@@olimar_09 No, but the design is based on a Vaporwave statue. There is a Vaporwave CD that depicts a city by the ocean at dawn with a statue of a Greek God on it. That's basically what the Octo Expansion's final boss is based on.

I failed quite a bit in the escape parts due to me messing up a few times I even messed up the hyper bomb stuff.
I feel like you should have waited to have the bass come in at 1:04 and it not play at 0:51 , it would of felt more impactful but that's just me
