Let's round up everything that happened in Autumn, while I was still posting videos that were shot in summer!

Last time I shot an update video from the Swiss Alps, you seemed to enjoy it, so I'm back again today to ramble about some stories from my life that didn't make it in to travel vlogs, and to announce my biggest video to date.

Hey Tom, I am really looking forward to your Norway video and everything you plan to do next year! What you managed to do and shoot this year in Switzerland and Italy was breathtaking. Life pitched us all some googlies this year, and next year likely will be the same. But your channel is a little piece of sanity and scenic beauty in the midst of it all. Quiet viewer here, but I thought I'd leave a comment to wish you a happy end of year. I love your videos whenever you put them out- your values around travel are very similar to my own, so I always appreciate how you marvel at the beauty of nature, take things slow, and seem to genuinely appreciate every moment. Can't wait for the Norway video (It's on my bucket list to go there, my grandfather's side of the family was Norwegian!), and can't wait to see what you do next year. Thanks for all the beautiful videos!

Tom, this is worth a read. Here's my experience with drones. I bought the first DJI mavic pro and in the beginning it was marvellous. The footage you bring home is magic, so I get the appeal. I don't regret being an early adopter and peoples reaction was almost always positive. I would get approached regularly by curious people to discuss my experiences with the drone.
Then things started to shift. Laws and regulations imposed harsher restrictions. As these drones would become more widely available, peoples reaction to them would also change. From positive curiousness to irritation, to out right hostility. Nowadays I always have a stomach ache because I know there's always going to be some rule-n#zi who wants to "inspect my papers" ,taking basically all the joy of flying out of it. And that's not taking into account the hoops you have to jump through to get certified in all countries. The bureaucracy is mind boggling sometimes.
Look, I get it, some of the rules need to be there, but if I'm standing around with a camera and a lens, and someone taps me on the shoulder I can just ask them to kindly f off...
One way to make it a bit more easier on yourself would be to aquire a lighter drone. DJI is just about to release the mini 3 which weighs under 250 grams and therefor is excempt from certain regulations (in some countries). And I think the camera in that one will be sufficient.
But for me, the mental health option of not flying a drone out weighs the benefits :)

I don't think going on the Hurtigruten ship is cheating at all! We sailed on the Hurtigruten ship during late Spring in 2019 from Bergen to Kirkenes and it was a magical trip. The Bergen railway does have amazing scenery too. Looking forward to the next video!

I have to disagree, I think a drone shot of a beautiful scene never gets old. :) Give us your drone shots, don't hide them!
