Helping my daughter mod our 2000 X into a camper, your seat removal is just what I was looking for! One small comment is the seat bolts are Torx TP55 Plus. The older T55 bit will work but you need to be careful and straight to not strip out the bolt head.
Glad to help out! It probably took me about 12 hours just installing the kilmat. That doesn’t include all the time removing the interior panels, carpet , etc. I didn’t do 2 layers of kilmat, I added the Noico Red foam over the kilmat on everything put the floor.
Links for Kilmat, Noico foam, and Dynapad carpet pad added to video description.
Working on the unit with dad will be memory's never forgotten.
So true! Might be his truck in 10 years.
Definitely loving your videos!!! The Excursion is the BEST SUV ever made✊ Your rig is absolutely Badass 💪
Great build! Thanks for documenting things so well. I plan to do many of these things to my Excursion.

Hey! I’m trying to put the center belt and belt lock back in haha forgot how to put it back
Let me dig through my file of photos and video to see if I have something that shows the center belt.
How many box’s of kilmat did it take and what’s the thickness of the kilmat?
I used about 5 and a half boxes of the 80mil thickness.
@@GSXR1000Rob thanks so much I’m looking to do the same to my 2005 excursion. Also roughly how long did the job take and did u double layer it ?
Glad to help out!

@@GSXR1000Rob how’s the difference before and after?
I’m still waiting on the engine and transmission, so I have no idea how well the sound insulation worked.
Where did you get the new door Striker? are they sold as a kit or separately?
www.riffraffdiesel.com/door-striker-99-16-upgraded/
They are in a set of 4 for $90.
Where did you find the door strikers?
Riffraff Diesel Performance. They were about $90 for a set of 4
What did you use to remove the hard plastic between the old carpet and the floor of the excursion

Did the front seats bolt up or you needed to do some modification?
The front seats are the stock seats that were already in the excursion. I simply recovered them with new leather.
100 dollars for each striker. That’s insane.
What vehicle did those seats come out of?
The seats are out of a newer Expedition. I don't know the exact year, 2015ish. I purchased them off of ebay.
@@GSXR1000Rob same ones I just bought. What you happened to know how much kilmat you used for everything
I want to say it took 5 boxes.
