- There is nothing more refreshing than turning fresh lemons into homemade lemonade. This recipe is fast and simple, it only takes about 5 minutes to make. So if you've ever wondered how to make lemonade I'm going to share with you how easy and simple it is.

RECIPE
1 Cup Lemon Juice
1 Cup Sugar
1 Cup Water
4 Cups Water
Ice
Add the sugar and water to a saucepan and heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and set to the side for the simple syrup to cool.
Juice 6-8 lemons to get at least one cup of lemon juice.
Pour the lemon juice to a pitcher with 1 cup of the simple syrup
Add a few handfuls of ice and fill with 4 cups of water.
Taste the lemonade and adjust with water or simple syrup to taste.
Serve with freshly cut lemon slices and mint leaves.

This looks very nice, if it wasn't winter here in Australia I would make this. But I will make it in summer, i think this would be good for Christmas lunch
Honestly, I don't know why people say that it's gritty and sour. First off I love sour so I dunno what the problem with that is, secondly, I've literally never made lemonade this way, heating it first... but every recipe calls for it. I just made it the same way i make it, just shove some water, lemon and sugar in a jar and put it in the freezer until fully chilled, shaking occasionally.
Yes, it's bullshit. Sugar dissolves in cold water, it just dissolves faster in hot water. The outcome is exactly the same. I also like a sour taste.

Here's an easier recipe. Mix 2 cups lemon juice with 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup lemon juice. Mix vigorously for about 2 minutes, and you have your lemonade! Voila!
