No steak or bacon since 1976 😱. I’m 64 and the same lean muscular weight as my twenties. I do 80-100 push-ups every day, a 40 min workout followed by another workout with weights. Later in the day I do a 4-6 mile hike with my dogs....🌱💪🏼 for decades!
To the Queens such as yourself & Chef Babette.. you are my inspiration & have given me such encouragement to press on. What you've shared is priceless wisdom & allows me to have a vision of what I can be.. so thank you!! Just praying I can follow in your shoes! Hats off x

my mom said she met with a girl she went to high school with at a reunion. the lady had eaten NOTHING but fresh fruit for all those years and my mom said she looked almost like she had just graduated she looked so good.
You cannot live on ' nothing' but fruit.
I'm vegetarian for 37 years and eat hummus,beans, nuts,lentils daily. You need protein, some good fat,and complex carbs as well as the vitamins and trace minerals from fruit and vegetables

Never once did I say anything about protein. What is your genetic makeup? Are you "black"? I am 61 also I started a plant base lifestyle change in March 2021 I definitely feel better now just like Steve said the inflammation has left my body.

I am 47 years old and people tell I look like I am in my twenties. I love being vegan best decision I ever made for my health, the animals and the planet!
You eliminated junk food. Of course, you feel a little better. Most of the junk food you gave up was vegan. You'd feel a lot better if you went plant-free, zero-carb, carnivore. And stand a better chance of making it past 100 as our ancestors did before industrial farming. Which is terrible for the animals and the planet!
As long as you feel that you are completely healthy please ignore and excuse my negativity. But... If there is that one nagging issue... maybe add some fish or eggs... if it's your health you're really concerned with. You may be surprised just how good you can feel. At 67 I feel better than I ever have.

Need to say, being Vegan will do almost nothing for you,.. unless you eat whole food vegan and cut out the refined sugar. You can be vegan and FAT as a mug. You can be vegan and unhealthy! Oreos are vegan. Plant-bases alone is not enough.

I definitely agree because it's not just based off of one thing. Everyone is different and so are their circumstances. This is an all-around thing that affects your overall well-being.

She definitely has the energy and vivaciousness of someone half her age or more. She looks wonderful for her age, or ANY age.
Veganism does wonders! I'm 31, and people still mistake me for 19 :) I don't know why more people don't try it out. It does your body and mental health wonders.

She's absolutely stunning. I AM vegan since 2003. I worked and played as a MacroVegan Chef over the years. I just celebrated 55 April 2021. My sun will be 13 in June. I sho nuff want to look and feel like sister Babette when I AM 70 and beyond. So inspired!🙏💗🌎
I’m going back vegan! Mexican is my fav to make when eating plant based. She needs a TH-cam channel.
I went whole food plant based over four years ago, lost thirty lbs, take no meds, and at 66 feel better than when I was forty. It took a few months to transition and learn a new way of eating and cooking, but strangely you lose the cravings you once had for junk food and animal products and start loving and craving healthy, colorful plants. I never count calories, just eat till I’m satisfied and if it was real good I eat more.
Wow, Another amazingly beautiful black woman-my hat is off to her. Babette looks like a 20 year old girl and we can all take a lesson from her as far as how to eat right and exercise consistently-it paid off for her as you can see. Well done Babette and best wishes.
She looks absolutely gorgeous has inspired me to go back to being a pescatarian I love my fish and my shrimp but I can give up my chicken and turkey and see where this journey takes me👌🏾

In addition to healthy eating, I'm sure she works out. I'm noticing her arms look quite firm. She's not suffering from the "flags" that so many maturing women do. I'd love to try her cuisine -- but I live in South Florida. You never know. Good for her!!!
She's a phenomenal example who did the formula for staying young:
1. Do work out = shapely body and huge energy.
2. Heaps of veggies = healthy body and mental boosts.
Combined together:
Youth well preserved.
