I've been playing for the past four months - but I've also been playing/streaming it a lot of hours every single day, which is why I've managed to learn so much. If you have any other questions, feel welcome to pop into the stream, maybe there I can answer them more fully to you and it'll be easier to follow?
I kept Ogre early on because he's a fairly strong unit to add to the board. Ogre 1 had 700 HP, which means that Ogre 2 has 1400 HP - that's quite a lot, and if you get someone on board with a decent spell (Kotl, Kunkka, BM, SF, LD, etc. etc.), then he actually can have a huge impact, since he basically doubles the other units spells while also serving as a solid body himself. You see Chinese players (they are the ones who really know how to play) keep Ogre somewhat regularly just as a one of.
Also, the game right now is very focused on board play - how strong are the lineups you play early-game to mid-game, and then that strength is translated into the late-game. We've seen periods in the past couple months where fighting for board early wasn't as a crucial, but now it really counts for a lot. So sacrificing a later synergy or some eco for a strong early unit can often be worth it. If you want a good tip, the strong early units I'd say are Anti Mage, Tinker, Chaos Knight, Timbersaw, Huskar and Shadow Fiend - any of these almost ALWAYS improves your board and your game.

@@oliyoun thanks alot for your insight i wanted to change strat also as i have been following serbianbutcher a lot he is a good player though, learning from others can improve your tactical skills in game. Thanks for that ogre thing might do it also incase they dont give me good early strat lineup. Thanksss more powers!
