Recognized as one of the well-adorned pickup trucks in the country, the Strada is Mitsubishi Philippines' entry in the midsize pickup truck segment. Now on its third generation, the Japanese midsize utility truck received its rightful facelift in January 2019. The pickup now features Mitsubishi’s Dynamic Shield design language. It also now comes with a new 2.4-liter turbo diesel engine. With the new body, redesign comes a new pair of projector headlights and foglights. The lighting has been split into with the main projector LED headlights being put at the top while its signal lights have been placed at the bottom.

The Mitsubishi Strada rides on a reinforced ladder on frame chassis. For suspension, the pickup gets an independent wishbone setup at the front and for the rear, it gets a live axle with leaf springs. Stopping power comes from disc brakes at the front and drum brakes at the rear. Powering the pickup is a 2.4-liter turbo diesel engine that makes 179hp and 430 Nm of torque. Power is sent to either all four wheels or exclusively to the rear depending on the variant.

Hi Sir, between the comparable midvariants, Hilux G A/T and Strada GLS A/T, which do you prefer in terms of fuel economy, interior, driving dynamics, long term reliability?

Both are good in reliability.
I mean I'll be bias of course with this Strada since we used to own 2 of them and we did choose the Strada over the Hilux because of the ride. Driving Dynamics too the Strada is a great all rounder especially the steering feel the Hilux I found was on the heavy side even for the 4x2 Models. Fuel Economy more or less the same for both.
