    U made some salient points. Even after a short residence u have put your fingers straight to the point. I have lived in America for more than fifty years. I am now retired after schooling in the 70s, working after graduation in the engineering & IT fields. The secret sauce to success in America is the way u eloquently described in your interview. Here is my views that I can add to the “so-called” American dream.
    #1. Learn a trade or educate yourself by going to school. These days u can even study from free online courses on the internet such as TH-cam or free websites.
    2. Look for a job & acquire an experience or improve on your skills. The sky is limit.
    3. Abide by the laws, rules and regulations in your resident state or in America. No “wuluwulu” (dubious) means. In the end you will suffer the consequences after any intransigence against the laws.
    There maybe more suggestions from other viewers. Indeed American is a land of opportunities. I am a specimen of the achievements that have across my way. Keep your eyes on the prize and all your dreams & aspirations will be fulfilled. Good Luck ❤✌🏿

      @kwasi47 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@richmondobeng1408 mentorship in what way? The steps I can point out are the ff:
      1. Learn a trade. My choices are plumbing, electrician, carpentry & mechanic. Not in any particular order. Make sure u have certification in these trades.
      2. You can also go into nursing. There is a huge demand for nurses all over the world.
      3. IT is another option
      Opportunity abounds in America everyday. Never think nothing is impossible. Have a positive mental attitude.
      Don’t let age be a barrier. Have patience. Never lose hope. Don’t pay attention to naysayers. Be honest & truthful. Destiny is not very far away.
      Finally don’t try to use devious means to achieve your aims & aspirations. It never works.
      Good Luck. Keep your eyes on the prize. ❤️✌🏿

    Economic situations in the west and that of Africa is different. It’s the ‘ mode of production’ and quality of specific economic activities that differentiates and determines pay levels in the west and Africa. The west specializes in increasing returns activities whilst most of African countries specialize in diminishing returns activities. It’s also about technological change and innovation that drives wages!

    The comparison of US salaries to Ghana is intellectually flawed. GDP per Capita in the US is $80K whiles that of Ghana is $2k; US is far higher than many countries and so you will earn more than in Ghana. You don't measure with currency conversions but by the living standards of that country.
