I got my tickets to see them in Detroit this year. 20th anniversary of “They’re only chasing safety” and apparently they’re gonna play the album straight through. I’m so unbelievably excited. I remember buying that album when it came out, sophomore in high school. Life changing. 🤘🏻
@@MattyLMurda James is no longer in the band anymore. Neither the band nor James have provided details outside of generic statements. It didnt seem like it was a very smooth thing though. Whatever the reason is though, he's out of the band.
I LOVE what Spencer does before Hallelujah, so deep, and touching, even worrying ahah . Reminds me of the sound of Fever Ray's first album. Hope they keep it for the rest of their shows, its just beautiful
I saw this tour in new haven Ct and wow so many backing tracks, two instances of what looked like lip syncing and multiple guitar parts going at once, it was like watching a touched up concert dvd live in person.
I didn't see any lip syncing at all??? i saw them in detroit up close and personal and they sounded very raw and live so I'm not sure what you're talking about. most bands have some backing tracks nowadays, you have any idea how hard it is to put on a live show?
@@joeburke490 good for you. by raw i meant it sounded soulful and real and that's all that matters i just dont see the point in complaining. life's too short for that. they're enjoying themselves and that's literally all that should matter.
Just pointing out how absolutely epic their live “Lifeline” was. They continuously outdo themselves live and utilize the two vocalists at an insane and unreal level. The song hits so hard and seeing the guts and heart juices that leak when they perform it is the closest I’ll probably have to a spiritual experience. UO forever.
just got home from the Tampa gig, you can't hear it at all live so they sound spot on perfect and they can hold back less on the performances and really send it vocally, it's great for the live show but maaaan recorded it sounds ridiculous
It does and it should. In addition to this, it’s not primarily about being a Christian “band”, it’s about the fact that they turned away from Christ themselves. So it is indeed grieving, to see anyone turn away from the love and grace of God. But as long as anyone is alive and breathing they have the chance to repent and turn back to Jesus Christ, you are never too far away. Whatever the reason anyone walks away from Jesus, is never a good reason. To follow Christ is not immunity from difficulty, it’s peace in the midst of it. Knowing no matter what we go through or what position we are in, we are forgiven, we are saved, and called God’s child. And nothing can separate you from his love. Jesus never said we wouldn’t have difficulty or sorrows, I’m fact he said the contrary. As Christians, our faith is not predicated on whether things are going well or aren’t, our faith is in Jesus Christ alone.
absolutely. in any given UO song there's tons of pads, samples, and other sounds that are triggered and played by chris via his MPC and keys. some of it is melodic and some of it is atonal, but i promise you if it weren't there you'd def be like hey somethings missing since they're sounds you've been hearing for 20 years

Damn they sound so fucking good! 😮🔥

It is strange to see them without James.

@@starlight_princenot every band needs live tune plug ins tho lmao
The ghost inside didn’t use any backing tracks. And if you think Underoath sound “raw” your not quite sure what raw means.
And yes I played in a band in north shore area of mass called head trip that played all over New England.

Wish Aaron’s vocals were like this on the taste of chaos dvd

How were they live, especially with the original crew of Chasing Safety?? I'm jealous. I want to see them.

Is that Connor McGregor playing guitar? ;)
Am I tripping or does Aaron have the autotune LOL
He’s got it in spades

Those shorts. 😂
Still doesn't look right with the guitar missing. Love from Tampa.
I wish they played songs from Cries of The past , to define the great line , I’m not a fan of anything after that
I hope they turn to God one day again ...
Amen to that. I’m praying they turn to Christ. God bless you man
The fact that they aren't a Christian band anymore really bothers people 😂
