2006 Audi A4 1.8T convertible ABS EPS BRAKE light ON. No communication with ABS module. VCDS scan.

2006 Audi A4 1.8T ABS EPS BRAKE LIGHT ON - Intermitted brake light dash warning. Occasionally the speedometer would stop working. No engine codes. FYI.. I'm not an expert mechanic, just sharing what I encountered and how I fixed my car.
Note: First I cleaned all of the speed sensors which it didn't' help. Older Audi's have a speed sensors near the transmission separate form the ABS sensors. Obtained VCDS from RossTech and noticed no communication with ABS. Send the module for re-pair but no luck. Then repaired the communication line cable and re-programed.
FYI. i did not cut the KLine green wire with thr red steipe. I carefully stripped at both wires near the ends - ABS module and back of ODBII connector and added the new wire. In the wiring diagram the KLIne splits somewhere to the cluster so you want to make sure that the bad wire still has a signal to feed the cluster.
VCDS tool was used to scan and re-program the module.
