Late to this party because it just released on Xbox earlier this month but HOLY CRAP these game developers are GENIUSES. Once I started to get a feel for what the game is really about I realized it's not at all my usual taste in video game genres. If it was just a human as the main character I probably wouldn't have looked twice at this game. BUT IT'S A CAT. I went into it blind too and it sucked me in with the absolute charm and warm fuzzies in the beginning because IT'S A CAT and now I can barely put it down haha. Love it. :D
This game man... It constantly hit me right in all the feels. (I swear I wasn't crying for 50% of the stream!) Such a great concept and so amazingly well pulled off, exploring & interacting with the world as a cat. Loved watching Abdallah pull of the 10/10 maximum catittude, especially tripping up all those poor robots just like an actual cat does! Abdallah, you were asking about our own cat's reactions to this game? My little Stitch kitty was watching this with me, and constantly trying to figure out where this strange new cat she was hearing meow, was coming from!Lol She was going nuts looking for her new 'brother'.
Imagine if "Stray" is the 2022 Game of The Year. Love the gameplay with the adventures of a wild cat. There is one thing about having a pet, for example a cat. You don't choose them, they choose you. Definetly a 9/10
I never used the torch light at all throughout the entire game because I had completely forgotten about it until I saw you use it right after getting the backpack. I never really needed it to be perfectly honest.
I just finished the game and i cried at the beginning too😂🙈, but also later in the game so be prepared🙊 Besides that, i loved and enjoyed the game so much, you can wonder around and enjoy the kitty life like i’ve always wanted😻
I beat the game the other day and was refusing to watch any content until I got 100% but got stuck watching you. Addictive charisma. The fact that the cats are domesticated made me think that there must be some sort of civilization on the outside. But maybe that was a mistake in the writing? Then, when you find out the control center is empty... Did the people who created the walled city and put it in lockdown leave for the Outside? After all, they're above us peasants, who are forced to live in the "safest" city with the Zurks.
My understanding was that the walled city was built by the wealthy to survive whatever the 'plague' was, but despite the full lockdown it still inevitably got in, and the humans all died out in the end? Going by what memories Abdallah found & recovered, from my understanding, humanity at this point is 100% extinct, and only the AI robot 'servants' have survived, while animal life has flourished on the Outside? But that's just my take on the story. Where the Zerks fit in and whether they were true aliens or just some kind of lab experiment gone horrifically wrong, who knows?!
I'm not familiar with games- could the ending be setting you up for a sequel in the future? (Getting the robots out of the city to search for any surviving human?)
It’s a neat theory but I think all the humans are dead. At some point food for humans was probably either gone or very expired not to mention clean drinking water, etc. I’m not sure if humans could survive the aftermath but I could be wrong.
I don’t want to sound bossy but maybe it would be a good idea to wear your glasses when playing video games. There’s tons of times I’ve noticed you don’t see things you’re looking for that’s right in front of your face. It can get a bit annoying to the viewers when that happens.
My favourite part “ get neutered!” - is the new get dragged kid for me haha

2022 game of the year will most definitely be Elden Ring. I do hope Stray gets serious consideration or even a nomination though.

I enjoyed this game so much, it did get a little difficult later on for me.
It took me a while to figure out the barrel was the third item to push the tiles down.
