Your tutorials are really helpful, with them I was able to create my first little project with my own design. However I struggle with issues of the satin stitch creating birds nest especially in the round. I don't have this problem when using existing design on my machine, so I am assuming the issue is with my design. Do you have any tips how to find/narrow down the issue?

You need to be aware of the soace between the nodes in your design. Put on the grid with 2 mm lines when drawing. Your nodes should never be under 1 mm because the sewing machine will make a stitch for every node.
