Joben, you have a gift brother. I have been making my way through your videos, and these are some of the most touching short stories I have ever seen. I happened to stumble upon your channel because I searched XT3 documentary work, and I am so glad I did. Thank you for showing us what's possible and that you don't have to have 10,000 dollars worth of camera gear to make something so emotional and professional. This is some of the best documentary work I have ever seen. Keep doing what you're doing man!!! God Bless You
Man thank you for the nice and encouraging words! I appreciate it brother! Glad you enjoyed the videos, and I hope I get to do more in the future! I love the Fujifilm system! Thank you again and I'm looking forward to seeing your work as well! Thank you!
So beautiful! I Really liked this video! ❤ i was hoping to try making short videos like this with my xt5, and this just looked so amazing brother. Great work
Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the video! For mics I used the cheap but powerful Zoom h1N and a comica mic that I got on Amazon.:) thank you again!
I’ve been watching your content and every time I end up speechless, the level of work you achieve with the XT3 is just superb, thank you for sharing, it’s truly inspiring.
Thank you sir! I appreciate your encouraging and kind words! It really is an amazing camera and works well in low light as far as I'm concerned!😁 glad you appreciate my videos! Thank you sir!
Thank you! Glad you liked it. While filming I used the cheap Comica mic that i bought on Amazon. Then for recording the interview/ narration I used the Zoom H1n. Pretty cheap set up.😁
I am amazaed by your work! BRAVO! Can you please share how many days did you spend on the field recording, how many days for writing a script and also editing footage.. if it's not to much to ask haha ? Keep it up!
Thank you! I appreciate it! For this video it took just 1 day to shoot. We just started early in the morning around 6 am until 3 in the afternoon if I'm remembering it correctly. Then editing took me probably around 5 hours. The thing that took a while for me to work on was building a story with the audio/ interview. I had a list of questions and made a structure/ narration out of the guy's answers. That probably took me 8 hrs to build and finalize. I hope these answers help! Thank you again!
Unbelievable work! I'm a beginner film maker and recently purchased the xt-3 as my first camera. I was curious if you used F-Log or HLG in the making of this? Thanks if you have the time to answer and all the best! 😊
Hi there! Thank you so much! I'm glad you joined the Fujifilm family, haha! The X-T3 is a beast! I don't shoot in F-log. I use Fujifilm's film simulations, usually pro neg or eterna. Thank you, and I hope you have fun with the X-T3!
Thank you! I used to shoot with eterna but i realized I like shooting with Pro Neg Standard better. I adjust the white balance, highlights, and shadows as I shoot depending on the lighting of a room/ scene. But usually i just play from -1 to 1. I hope this helps!
My noise reduction is always at -4 but as far as the other settings i cannot really remember 😅. From what I remember the WB was different when I was shooting indoors, outdoor with cloudy skies/ sunny. I just adjust and make adjustment depending on the available light and amount of light available. Color, highlights and shadows are also settings that I adjust depending on the scene.
I think as long as there's a good source/ amount of light then your shots should be ok. But so far I always have my NR at -4 and i'm just blown away and satisfied with the XT3. Not sure what the real "science" is as to why i don't have more noise in my shots, but that's the only constant thing that I have in my in camera settings.
Great video! Truly cinematic feeling, images, sound, camera movement, colors, the story. Very good job, thank you for sharing! How did you color grade?
Thank you sir! I appreciate the kind words!🙏 for color grading i try to adjust my color, white balance, shadows, and highlights, in camera so I don't have to play with the shots a lot in post. Then I adjust the contrast and saturation in post. But as you probably already know, Fujifilm has amazing film simulations and colors! i guess through lots of trial and error, i just kept playing around with the settings until I found what works for me. Thank you again! I'm glad you enjoyed the video!
lovee how cinematic the fuji xt3 is great job

Wow this amazing cinema. I have the XT3 already. Do prefer the viltrox or SLR magic prime lens to get this quality? For short films
Thank you! I used the Fujinon XF 35mm f2 for this video. I have a Viltrox 23mm and love that lens too. Thank you again!🙏
@@jobenb awesome thank you!

Thank you brother, glad you enjoyed it!🙏

Hey Joben, absoultely incredible film. What mic or audio recorder did you use for the audio?
Thank you! Glad you liked it. While filming I used the cheap Comica mic that i bought on Amazon. Then for recording the interview/ narration I used the Zoom H1n. Pretty cheap set up.😁

Your work is amazing. Are you really filming everything with just the 35mm f2? Also, are you shooting in flog?
Thank you, i appreciate it.🙏 yes, i always use the 35mm F2. I sometimes use my viltrox 23mm but rarely. My go to lens is the 35mm F2.

Looks great! Did you shot with the Eterna profile? Can you share the camera settings? Thanks.

Incredible! What film simulation settings did you use
Thank you! I used Pro Neg for this one. Thank you again.
@@jobenb thanks a lot what were your Boise reduction, sharpness, colour settings it looked great

Superb, beautiful story and camera angles … top work… respect from the 🇬🇧
hey did you shoot with log or just with the simulation? did you do any colour grading during the editing?
I always shoot with a fujifilm simulation and color grade a little in post. I used pro neg std for this video.
@@jobenb thank you!
Whichlens do you use
Fujinon XF 35mm F2.
Hello, did you manual focus your camera when using 35mm f2? Or continuous focus?
Hi there. I use continuous AF. I use manual focus sometimes depending on the situation but I always use AF-C.
Did you use a gimbal?
Yes sir. I used a ronin sc.
@@jobenb gotcha. Great video
Thank you! I appreciate it 🙏
Hi did you shoot in log or srgb?
Hi there! I don't shoot in f-log. I either use eterna or pro neg. Thank you!
@@jobenb Thanks!
Did you flog it
No, I used pro neg and adjusted the shots more in post.
