    One thing to note for the campers/ outdoorsmen- the bed dimensions for both trucks, the depth. I can not put a Yeti 110 cooler in the Taco and use my tonneau cover. The bed walls are extremely short, worse than the Nissan Frontier leaving things sticking out exposed. It does fit in the Maverick though. Side beds walls are much taller. Just a valid point worth noting for some.

We enjoyed all 3 and they all had towing packages. We towed within the Expedition twice and the Sequoia once. Never the Mazda. That was over the course of 12 years of total ownership. I like that the taco has some controls on the ceiling, particularly the locker and that sort of thing. They don't need to be in your immediate reach since you'll use them in a low speed environment almost exclusively and it's a space that is often underutilized in other vehicles. Everyone else wants to cram all the controls right into the center cluster, and the space above and to the left of the driver often gets maybe one or two switches for lights or something.

      Ha ha ha another person conned by Fraud motor company. I like you walked into a ford dealer in September of 2021 and ordered a new ranger. Was quoted 6 to 8 weeks. Upon being assigned a VIN number I saw the price had jumped from 29k to 35k discovered they had ordered it as a 4wd. Had to resubmit the order in November of 2021. Found out I had missed the order window and had to wait for production to restart on 12/21. As of spring of 2022 I still had no order date or a VIN number and I had no idea when it was being built. I couldn’t wait any longer as I needed to sell my existing truck to help pay for the new one and couldn’t sell that if I didn’t have something to drive. Ended up settling for a 2022 Tacoma that was built and enroute. Have had it for almost a year now, yesterday I got an email from ford saying my ranger ( which I canceled and got my deposit back) was still delayed due to supply shortages. That’s almost 2 years after I ordered it. Don’t be surprised if you keep getting punted down the chain. I guess bronco buyers were more important to Ford. That’s why they lost my business and are unlikely to get it back

    I know it's for the views - and I really do enjoy seeing this comparison - but these two vehicles are very difficult to compare. They're built for similar functions, but also drastically different functions as well. I know my Maverick FX4 can and will do most of what any off road truck can do 95% of the time on a trail. It's that 5% I know it can't do and I'm fine with that! I've taken it off road at least a dozen times in less than a year of ownership which is more than I know most raptors have been out and I have a great time, because in the end it's just about getting out there and having fun. It carries my work gear and can tow 4k lbs, not large lumber or a massive toy hauler and I'm fine with that. It carries 5 passengers arguably more comfortably than most mid size pickups. My favorite thing is when my tall ass coworkers get in my truck from there massive lifted king cabs and seeing how surprised they are at how much space there is. And almost fully loaded mid spec was sub $30k. It fits in my apt garage and is incredibly easy to drive and park. All in all I don't regret my decision at all and with bigger tires and some other aftermarket parts I've added, it's a great deal of fun.

It’s more practical and debatably more usable as far as storage. With the seats laid down you get 6’ of space compared to 5’ like this tacoma. All while being better offroad. Departure, breakover angles etc. better seating position, more head room, more room for passengers. It’s really just all around better. To me the tacoma equates to a Jeep Wrangler. Depends on your use case imo. 4Runner holds more cargo weight and you say you have 6’ of space. My taco has a 6’ bed though and actually has a much smaller foot print than the 4Runner (I have a 2012 2-door single cab). I love having the bed for things I don’t want inside with me like when I make dump runs, firewood runs, lawn care stuff, that kinda thing. I look at the 4Runners every now and again but I don’t know if I’d be able to give up my bed!

    • @ToolsInAction4u
      @ToolsInAction4u ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ridewithme3428 I was referring to newer models. You can get a 6’ bed on them but then they end up being almost the same length as a full size without the additional width. They really have a niche market. And that market is honestly just people who are brand loyal or like how they look. Hopefully Toyota puts out a better product in the coming years.

    • @ridewithme3428
      @ridewithme3428 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ToolsInAction4u Honestly I hope the new one has better payload ratings and doesn’t sacrifice off road. It is niche but also I could see the benefit of a long bed crew cab taco in areas with narrow trails tbh. Might go full size on my next truck though.

    I would pass on both and look at other options (Nissan, Jeep). I just don't fit right in the Tacoma - would be constantly irritated and uncomfortable for that price. The Maverick is well thought out and appears more practical for my needs. The cheap plastic interior though, is a total turn off for me - way better options out there.
