I dont know if it's a good thing. But it's here. I would call it the starting point of the next phase of college football. My advice to those schools and conferences on the outside. Gather the best of your conferences combine them and discard the rest. So maybe it's 3 instead of just 2. For the schools on the outside of that. You have had 50 or 60 years to get up to that level. You had your chance for a long time. Now times up.

It's awful for college football, but money will always win. If the ACC falls apart, the SEC and Big Ten will poach all of the schools that are great in football and basketball. As things stand, the expanded college football playoff has only furthered the divide between the blue bloods and the mid-majors. Liberty at +300 has the best odds of any non-power conference school to MAKE the CFP. I knew from the outset that the college football playoff would prevent mid-majors from ever having a chance. Cincinnati getting in was a miracle, and the Bearcats didn't belong. The BCS system was the only hope for small schools. Boise State was primed to make it to the national championship game in 2010 before Alabama blew a 28 point lead that started with Ingram's fumble against Auburn. If Bama held, Boise just needed to win its last few games. Now, it's even worse because a mid-major has to win 3 or 4 games to win a championship.

Stop complaining about going back to the old days, we want the big games every week. Nobody wants to see Alabama play srubs. We want to see the best play the best. Stop it ppl, y’all need to get with the times & understand it’s happening & you’re going to watch it. If you don’t like it, don’t watch it. Too simple
