Awesome show tonight, Monuments! I was thoroughly impressed by the new singer Andy Cizek! My expectations were kind of low, as they usually are when a band changes the front man and you're fond of the old guy's voice and stage persona, but man did this guy kill it tonight! Fear not, old Monuments fans. You'll LOVE Andy once the new album drops or if you manage to catch them on tour before that. \m/

@@kambion Even though I loved Chris omg his voice was amazing, like he did great in Periphery and his voice truly stands out as something truly unique in that aspect, Andy has mad talent and can literally do anything with his voice. His YT covers really showcase that. I personally love both vocalists.

Loved Chris, but there is no way he could hit the notes that Andy can do on the daily
Chris' voice is lower than Andy's. Yet, Chris' singing is better, as well as his showman and stage performance skills. And damn, the vocal writing in The Amanuensis is just the highest level. There's no way he can be defeated that easily with just a higher pitch on singing lol
@@blinkasto182 Chris cannot sing as well as Andy. I love Chris and his voice but Andy is simply the better singer. And Andy is building his stage presence, he is so fresh to the band that it isn't quite fair to judge him yet. I see him stage diving and interacting with the crowd so far so that's a good start.
clefCity as I said, having a higher pitch voice isn’t being a better singer. For real tho, did you listen to The Amanuensis? He created every single vocal on that. Chris sings amazing, a lower voice than Andy’s; and Animus isn’t better than any song on that album. I like Andy’s singing don’t get me wrong, he is great, but his new song with Monuments is no better than Chris in I, The Destroyer. Personally, Chris’ style is the best one I’ve heard, and while Andy is a good fir for Monuments, I don’t think he’ll do a better job than Chris in elements such as writing, and showmanship. So sad I’ll never get to meet Chris, he really seems like an awesome dude on his past concerts:(
@@blinkasto182 I can agree that the Amanuensis album is genuinely one of favorite albums of all time, and his singing on the album is so superb. But live, he couldnt quite nail it. I do wish I could have met Chris though. I still wonder what he is doing since he left the band, I havent found anything about what he is doing! But cheers for the response!
I think Chris had injured his vocal chords at one point but I am not sure. His live performances seemed to decline over time
