    I am subscribed to your channel but I'm never notified about new videos. I only realized this after buying a new Jetson Nano device and searching for video reviews of it.

      Sorry to hear that! Do you have notifications turned on? The little bell icon. I think subscribing puts it into your TH-cam feed, but doesn't always recommend it. Thanks for watching!

    Thanks for sharing this video. I wonder if there are any tools for monitoring the cache?

      You are welcome. I haven't looked into that topic. I think it's worth asking in the official NVIDIA Jetson forums. Also worth checking out are the NSight tools which now run on Jetson which offer a lot of low level profiling tools. Thanks for watching!

    jtop is amaazing! I used it a lot for some of my projects and it was helpful for temp monitoring

      jtop is pretty cool. With the shell scripts ported over to Python, developers will find it much easier to integrate into their workflow. Thanks for watching!

    Great video as always. Will you be reviewing the Jetson Orin nano developer kits as soon as they come out ?

      Thank you for the kind words. A saw a movie where a little green puppet says "Always in motion, the future". And so it is with the Orin Nano. We'll have to see what the offerings are, and trick the manufacturers into getting us one. Thanks for watching!

    Hey Jim! I’m trying to create a image for Jetson Xavier with nvme so I can flash more Jetsons with preinstalled setup. Any tips?

    • @JetsonHacks
      @JetsonHacks  ปีที่แล้ว

      NVIDIA has been working a lot in this area recently. It will depend on which version of Jetson Linux you use. The more recent JetPack 5.X releases handle this a little differently than the earlier ones. I haven't done this myself yet, it would be worth asking on the NVIDIA Xavier forum. Thanks for watching!

    • @houi6402
      @houi6402 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      hello, actually you can just create your image with Xavier's emmc (no need to spend additional cost to nvme) and then use Jetson new BSP image OTA tool to deploy the image to multiple Jetson platforms

    Thanks for posting this! I've been trying to use tegrastats all this time and this is a lot more friendly on the eyes!

    Hi Jim! Many thanks for your great content! Recently I instaled TensorRT 8.6.1 and pycuda in the Jetson Orin nano... I see that inside python the package is 8.6.1... but in jtop is 8.5.2.2 ( I have CUDA 2.2.140 installed). Do you know how I could solve this? Do you have any video about this topic? Thanks in advance. Federico

    • @JetsonHacks
      @JetsonHacks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for the kind words. I haven't seen this issue. It sounds like jtop is looking in a different place for packages than where your Python installation looks. I'm not sure how you would fix it, it's probably worth asking in the jtop repository. Thanks for watching!

    Still waiting for the prices to drop to below what they were two years ago!!!!!!!!!!!! Also are you going to talk about the various carrier boards like Waveshare? That can be used for Xavier and such?

    • @JetsonHacks
      @JetsonHacks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Pricing remains challenging. I'm not sure how to handle 3rd party boards, there are so many! I mean, a review is basically, "here's a board. here's it's features". It's basically reciting a spec sheet. And some of the boards are the NVIDIA reference design, so it's hard to comment on them. Thanks for watching!

    • @sy2532
      @sy2532 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@JetsonHacks well maybe not a specific talk on a 3rd party board but more of a reason why NVidia is offering the modules and how people are using them versus the development boards. I still have the original TX2 development board, which is too bulky for robots, perhaps I could swap the TX2 module with the Nano module and use the Nano development board with the TX2 module, I do not know. Maybe the Xavier module with the nano development board.

    • @JetsonHacks
      @JetsonHacks  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sy2532 The Jetson modules are not interchangeable between the dev kits. I think the idea behind the Nano/NX size board is that any module in that form factor should work (256 DIMM pin). In practice, I believe that is not the case. Each generation of Jetson modules introduced new features which required the carrier board to change a little.
      I believe the Orin NX works in the Xavier NX kit, but I haven't tried it yet. I would wait till after GTC towards the end of March, 2023 before determining the best go forward path wrt a Jetson development board. Should be several announcements that will influence that decision.

    Hi! Everything seems to be working until I finally type "jtop". It says the the service is inactive and to run another command to active it. But even with the command, it keeps saying that its inactive :(

    why Jetson do not support any desk, teamvieaver or vnc over internet connection? I bought for my summer house yo protect my cats from dogs. I cannot reach Jetson Nano over internet like ssh or something like

    • @JetsonHacks
      @JetsonHacks  ปีที่แล้ว

      Here are instructions for vnc: developer.nvidia.com/embedded/learn/tutorials/vnc-setup
      Some people use nomachine
      If you cannot reach the Jetson over SSH, there is something wrong with your network configuration. Thanks for watching!

    •  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi @@JetsonHacks. Yes I can configure and connect VNC server over local network. I found a poor tutorial about port forwarding. I tried but not achieved. Maybe you think to prepare a tutorial about this issue. Your explanations is the best.

      I don't understand the comment. What does "not opening" mean? What error message is being show?
