if evaluated fairly, French and Saunders will be seen to be funnier than Dudley Moore and Peter Cook, Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry, Morecambe and Wise... they are the best English double act, period... never mind male or female.

A classic moment I remember was these two characters and Dawn's character licks the catshit on the trowel when she thinks she's not being filmed.
This is like the start to a creepy black comedy/horror film.... I can see two teen hikers stumbling upon the farm & meeting a grisly end at the 'kindly' woman's hands! 😁
"Levelling-up" ? . . . and now "DiversiFluffing" That "Not quite there/Texas chain saw massacre look" that Ms Saunders does . . . wonderful. Glad to see the production company not skimping on the extras viz Ms Saunder's "Field weathered" make-up effect. Brings back memories of the Devon ex-patriots from Bideford sketch.
That sounds like it was inspired by Blaster Bates's story about when he was blowing up some tree stumps at a crematorium. A couple of workers there asked if he wanted one of their pork pies for his lunch. When he commented that he'd never had a pork pie with such a crisp crust before they told him that they always put them on a shovel and put them in the oven as it was cooling down to crisp them up.
