    Been following some others that moved to Portugal over the past year but even though your videos are raw and basic at the moment the premiss is very good. Also the content is excellent for people wanting to settle there and what it is really like . I am looking in that area for a ruin not much land to fix and retire in . Have seen 1 just waiting to be able to get over there . But I am enjoying your videos keep it up .

      @@OKportugal do you know what the permit story is? Or how does it work to fish a lake like that, not sure if some lakes are on private property.

    Cool video! Your other videos do not give the perception of the proximity of such a large lake in the vicinity of your property. It was a pleasant surprise!

      Thanks David. The lake is 900 metres away as the bird fly's but 1000 metres away with the road. For us its an easy walk on a flat road :)

    Thank you very much for the videos.. I have a question. Have you guys managed to start making money with the farm? If so, how? How many hectares do you guys own?

    • @OKportugal
      @OKportugal  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Our farm is 3.5 hectares divided up into various fields and is not surrounded by any other houses so it feels very private. We wanted to setup a tourism business and accommodate motorhomes and campers on one of the fields and setup our Mongolian yurt on another field to people to holiday in but the Corona virus has made tourism look like its not going to happen for a while! Fortunately living costs are very cheap in Central Portugal if you are debt free and can grow a lot of your own food. There are a lot of other options we are looking into at the moment but for now we wait and see what opportunities lie in the fallout of this pandemic.

    Have you been able to sell any produce yet. I am enjoying watching. Wondering how easy to do this profitably?

      We are just growing for ourselves at present. We are giving some of our hatched chickens to neighbours who in return have given us very delicious breads and cheeses 😁 we have been eating all of our eggs, salads and vegetables and the wastage has been going into our compost bin. (We need a lot of compost to transform our soil).
      We will have a lot of grapes and olives soon and will probably sell those but I do want to try and make some wine 🍷 😀

      It's called a Hubsan Zino. It's much cheaper than a DJI and the quality is pretty good too :)

    Now you've got to buy a kayak. I guess OLX would have some in great conditions.
