no matter how cute or adorable, they still have their wild instinct. not normal at alll, and the baby animals should be among their own, running around free and wild....
This is a wildlife refuge. If the captive mother rejects or cannot care for the baby (sometimes insufficient lactation or other natural cause is at fault, and the baby will die), the humans will take the baby and hand-raise it so it can at least survive, and they can subsequently integrate it with a new group of its peers, who will become a family. In the wild it would starve. This is an endangered species, don't forget, and their future in the wild is anything but secure. In addition, bear in mind that the wholesale habitat destruction of the African forest areas means that these animals would have no place to live, and nowhere to find food. Again, without food, they starve and species disappears. AND...... you must know there is a huge market for bushmeat, which is the flesh of anything a human can snare, shoot or whatever. The adults are killed, sometimes horribly, and the babies, if they survive, are sold through the illegal pet trade. They often die, too, from neglect and horrible conditions in transit from Africa to the many other places on the planet where there are people willing to pay thousands for one baby chimp. As many as 10 adult chimps may be killed to get one baby for the pet trade. The adults are then chopped up and sold in the local markets for bushmeat. So, is it better for an infant chimp to live in a sanctuary like this, or suffer mistreatment and its own death after seeing its family butchered wholesale? They do suffer psychological trauma, too, if they survive. Better to live protected in responsible refuges like this, where they have a chance, if not at a completely free life in the wild, a safe and good life approaching as closely to their natural lives as these good people can provide. Look up the opinions of scientists like Frans de Waal on this issue. As far as stopping habitat destruction, there are people out there trying very hard to stop it. Easier said than done. In any event, any "exploitation" you accuse these people of doing serves to bring in money to care for the animals in the refuge as a whole, NOT The sheer monetary gain of showing the animals off "for fun and profit."
@@morrislevin8406 i think Everyone should leave nature alone. What will be, will be!.!.!.!.!. Any money, program, sanctuary, etc.. Should be directed towards saving human lives in the USA. There are children starving in America, families are homeless in America. We should not be spending any money in any country in anyone or anything until we take care of out own. Yes all lives matter, somehow we in the United States are last on the list to help, to save!
@@bonniemcmurray2839 Agree, leave nature alone. Do not destroy their habitat. However , I found the rest of what you had to say quite offensive. "Any money, programme, sanctuary, etc" should be directed to AMERICAN starving children, homeless families in AMERICA. Yes America do take care of your own but don't expect others to contribute. I do sincerely hope that you are generous to your suffering fellow Americans, if not then your tirade is somewhat meaningless. People from many, many countries (myself included) donate to animal conservation causes worldwide, ( worldwide includes USA) and would be very pissed if we found our donations being appropriated to alleviate America's social problems. Just so you know, I happen to be one of those weird people who believe that the survival of any and all species is beneficial to the world as a whole. And while I am having my say, perhaps it would be a good idea if America banned the practice of keeping primates and other exotics as pets. The money saved by not having to house and rehabilitate discarded 'pets' perhaps could be spent on your homeless. It is estimated that there are about 15,000 primates kept as pets in USA. Probably approximately 90% will be discarded at some point and require sanctuary care. The alternative is just to kill them I guess. Would you be okay with that?
Now isn’t that great! They are all centered around the baby. The older chimps are helping so much. I love it. They are pouring out their love on that baby. The baby is enjoying having the older one there to love on it. Look how happy the baby is.
Yes, just look how cute it is dressing them in human clothes and when it gets too big and not so interesting, they return to the jingle to steal another baby from it's mysteriously dying mother, or as the sanctuary says, ""rescue and rehabilitation". Or ir can have other stories as well. One thing for sure is that this isn't no Sanctuary. There isn't anything related to the rehabilitation, and return of these ape back to home. They teach them no life skills, why? You figure it out. I just hope nobody donates to their scam.
*This was so precious that I did not want the video to end! The tenderness of the older chimp holding the baby on his chest just melted me. Those chimpanzees are NOT living their best lives, they should be living with their kind, in an environment that is conducive to their wellbeing, NOT housed in a person’s home or god forbid dressed as a human infant. Adult chimpanzees are pretty massive. Healthy males range from 45 to 65 kg in weight, or 100 - 143 pd. On average their torso and forelimbs are almost the same size as in adult men.
Awww this reminds me of the time we welcomed home my 3rd son, overseen by their oldest sister. Actually that was a joke about my family, 4 in total, I was just overcome with admiration when looking at the elder chimps face so full of wonder and love and intelligence holding that newborn, cherishing him. That was awesome to bear witness to.. although it did look like he picked his nose and wiped it on baby.
Omg that precious baby is just too adorable 🤗 love the way the other two chimps play and just watch the baby chimp with so much love too precious! Wishing this beautiful chimp family all the love and joy in a long life!
Please don't tell me these are pets! I hope it's a rescue or something. That's why so many animals are being killed in the wild just for the pet trade. They kill the big ones to get to babies.
I think the minute they put clothes on them (and I'm not talking about diapers) they move from rescued animal to pet. I understand the need for diapers when there are so many babies in close proximity to one another, the need to reduce the opportunity to spread infection or disease, but not clothes. That's what you do to pets.
The little babies do the exact same thing as human babies, it’s so adorable. The jerky awkward movements, grabbing their feet, sticking their tongue out, kicking, running noises with their lips, simply identical to a human baby. Since they are cultural animals these ones are acting more like humans though, which actually really shows how related we are, they behave according to the way they were raised and who they were raised with. A thought experiment with a human baby being raised by chimps - the baby would act like them…except be behind on every developmental measure lol! The language they would use would also be what the chimps use, the human baby wouldn’t even think to say anything else because they would be adapted to their environment.
Ya, as babies they're awesome. Sad thing is, no matter how much time and training they get, they'll never be free. When they get too big, in the cage they go. I used to think these older chimps lived with the trainers full time, but they stay in cages when the cameras are turned off. Just another bunch of animals being exploited on youtube for money. This little baby, like every other ape in captivity, will never live free, natural lives again. On the other hand, their habitat is being ripped down and Burt to make way for Palm oil plantations. The rain forests will soon be gone, and the Earth will no longer be able to produce oxygen, so it really doesn't matter anymore. The greedy global elites try to extort humanity with the climate change hoax, when really, it's simply the destruction of the "Earths lungs" that we should be concerned with. The world is just one big lie after another.
A human baby would die a brutal and extremely painful death if it was raised by chimps. Humans do not have the bone structure that chimps have, and the human baby would end up severely injured from being handled by them. Chimps are not gentle animals and infant mortality is extremely high among wild chimpanzees.
I totally agree that chimpanzees are not pets and should not be in homes. That being said, the way the adult chimpanzees were with the baby melted my heart. Especially when the one was holding her in his arms. So human like.

These animals are wild, they should never be kept as pets! These people at this place are as weird as they come! I hope one of these days one of these magnificent animals get revenge on the whole lot of creepy weirdos at this bizarre place.

You don’t know what you are talking about. That other case the human had given him drugs that are meant for people and he flipped out. He should have Never been given that
@@gabesmom5615 what are you talking about!?
@@vetechgrl2000 check out a story on Oprah where a pet attacked owner s friend. He was good and went everywhere with her whole town knew him. Loved him. But the attack was unexpected of course. But also he had been given a drug meant for humans and it reacted badly to say the least. I don’t remember every detail it’s been awhile. But it did happen and some people just assume that is how all pets are. Not true people shouldn’t get or have these guys as pets. Myrtle Beach is a different situation.
@@gabesmom5615 I totally agree that these are wild animals and should not be pets. I also remember that story and it was awful for the lady and the chimp was shot. So sad. But I still would love to cuddle a baby chimp
I totally agree!!! My heart would melt with pure happiness, love, & joy!!! ❤️🥰❤️

São muito lindos ❤❤❤❤❤
These animals are better than humans ❤️
What Chimp rehab facility is this? This dosent feel or look like a rehab facility.
It's not. If you watched Tiger King, they are from Myrtle Beach Safari. I highly suggest watching it.
It's not. They are despicable and profit off the wildlife trade.
Apparently they were arrested for cruelty to animals
@@julieherring2522 Absolutely!! Funny....I don’t see them liking your comment. Perhaps because you are sooo RIGHT!❤️
No it doesn't and why don't they ever give any information in the description so we all don't have to ask what is going on here?
He is so so Perfect!
I wish i could play with animals like that. They are so cute and adhorable
They are the great chimps in the world
They will rip your face off
@@PowersportsDorian I see people like this all the time. These chimps are domesticated, they were raised like this from birth, so it’s very unlikely they’ll randomly become violent.
Til they rip ur face off
Do some research. Please.
