Middendorp has done exceptionally well against Pirates as Chiefs coach. In fact, his second Chiefs stint (19/20 season) record is very good. He managed 1.9 points per match.
I'm sick and tired of people talking about the "Chief's way or identity." There should only be one way/identity, and that's trophies. It doesn't help to have a team with fancy players like oScara noPule who don't win anything.
I don't care if Pirates or Sundowns have ball possession of 80/20. So long as the scoreline is that Kaizer Chiefs 1 - Opponents 0... Then I'm satisfied!!!
So, in short, sorry, coach, for saying your style is boring and that you play long balls. Your style (whatever that is) is effective, and it wins football matches.
