      Dear Danica Jones Cosme,
Thank you for your kind comment and query.
Yes we can use it for repellent them but these ants are also contribute to control many insects of our plants.
For eradicate them we need to stop their food chain and propagation chain and epsom salt + neem oil can help.

Thank you for your kind comment and query.
Originally plant use Neem oil made by adding a commercial emulsifier for making it water soluble.
As per my knowledge it could be 10℅ of total pure neem oil.
So as a recommendation, whenever we need to use neem oil for plants then we can add home based emulsifier for making it water soluble.

Thank you so much. I learn a lot about neem oil from your video. However, Is it necessary to add soap as an emulsifier to cold pressed pure neem oil as I read quite a few articles suggesting it. This is the first video that does not mention soap. Thanks in advance.

    • @organicgardening
      @organicgardening  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Dear sir,
Thank you for your kind appreciation and query.
Sir, Basically when neem oil is specially made as bio pesticide then Neem oil manufactures add some specific emulsifiers in it which makes neem oil water soluble.
And for this types of neem oil we do not need to add any additional Emulsifier (soap) in it.
But if the neem oil is manufactured for general purposes and we use it for plants then we need to add any emulsifier in it for making it water soluble.
And this is the point where most of us do mistake and use neem oil and soap in improper ratio and most of the time it harm our plants.
We have shared one informative video about this topic. You can watch it from our channel page and it will help.
      Thank you

I have not seen water soluble Neem oil sold any wherehere (UK) :( I'm using for fungus gnats and scale insects

The horticultural soap is for better adhesion. Use it, but don't do it during the sunny days!
And if it rains after you spray it (i know in Ireland and UK can rain unexpected every time) do it again next day.

The only problem I have with this video is that it has made me realize that I messed up pretty bad. I was keeping the Neem oil in my garage in the desert, which means that the 100+ degree temperatures have probably decomposed all of the active ingredients. Also, I had no idea that I was to spray particularly in the evening or early morning. So now my plant has rust on it and I'm assuming some damaged leaves.

      Dear Ma'am,
Thank you for your kind query.
We can use neem oil for all type of plants including vegetable plants.
If we use it as a preventive measure, it works well and for control insects we need to use more then 1500 PPM.
      Thank you
