Since I never got a archers tempo or any good roll for Pre Astyanax, I was using Strident Whistle, and that was pretty cool. I like to mention that Fenix Protocol warlocks can use any of the solar bows quite the same and spam wells of radiance! (That was my go to for Heist Moon battleground)
You can buy it ive gotten archers tempo more times than i didnt. Granted u cant get that 540 draw time as you can with the adept version but its still good and worth getting if u like bows. I still havnt gotten elastic string with archer tempo but ive gottom many of the archers tempo roles like incandes, precision instruments, opening shot (good for pvp), succesful warm up, onky one i still want is archers tempo and explosive head. Just go buy them from Zavala under focused decoding and u should b able to get a decent role withing a few trys. Use up some of those legendary shards, good luck!
Some Hierarchy of Needs points. Its fantastic if you can set up a turreted position or a dedicated shooting location. Also great is multiple users as you can all shoot through each others rings. It also benefits from the similar hip shot idea but in reverse of ticuus. When you get the guidance ring up ADS and just tap the fire over and over to get as many shots off as you can while very close to the ring as the arrows will get boosted to their target. Great build for Hierarchy but exotic armor can almost be wasted due to not wanting to hold a draw ever. Bonus: Tyranny of Heaven with Incandescent and dragon fly feels like it should be exotic with this build. Excellent legend if you can build one.
Hierarchy needs a rework or buff imo it just seems so lackluster even with the catalyst it could do with a scorch addition when you shoot through the ring and also not losing ring progress when you die
With this build Leviathan's Breath becomes Leviathan's Heavy Breathing. (3 Months later edit: I am aware this isn't the most optimal. Please discover what a sense of humor is. )

Hierarchy works well with pretty much any build and even better with Solar builds. Personally I prefer it on Warlock with either Phoenix Protocol or Sanguine Alchemy. Phoenix is better in high end content where you can keep your super up almost indefinitely because HoN gives so much super energy per hit with the Guidance Ring. Paired with the fragment where super final blows ignite enemies, you can incinerate an entire room effortlessly. Sanguine is good as well but requires a bit more forethought with location placement in GMs. Quick Sanguine Build: Emp rift, heal grenade, celestial fire melee, touch of flame for sure. Ic dash or heat rises is up to you. You’ll want Ember of Empyrean, Torches, Benevolence, the last one is up to you. Play style: drop emp rift, throw melee (for Radiant), shoot Guidance Ring, throw healing grenade. You’ll now have 20% dmg boost from emp rift, another 25% from Radiant, and Restoration x2 from grenade. You’ll also have an additional 17%(?) damage from Sanguine since you’re matching your weapon type to your subclass. This all stacks together. As you shred ads with HoN (w/catalyst) you’ll maintain Rest x2, Radiant, and your emp rift since sanguine will extend its duration with every kill. It’s like having a mini-well at all times. Ember of Empyrean will allow you to build those abilities to ensure they’re always ready assuming your allies take advantage of your rift/nade/radiant proc. Since HoN requires you to be stationary, this thing shreds. To note though, Ticcu’s is good at base, but HoN pretty much requires the catalyst. Otherwise it’s just an extremely sluggish bow and doesn’t feel great to use. With the catalyst though, it absolutely shreds enemies in any content regardless of level.
I don't usually bother with the "like/subscribe" bit, because 99% of the content I watch is just something recommended due to watching one video 3 weeks ago and YT won't let me forget it, but you got me with this build. I don't have a lot of free time to buildcraft, which means I usually just take whatever the modifier dictates, but I love TD and this build seems so damn fun to use that I wanna see what else you come up with, in the future. Rock on, build-guru.
On the stasis hunter build I use verglass curve to have constant grenade damage up time and resistance Also le monarque works really well with the gyrfalcons build
It would be awesome if you could do a video on Ophidia Spathe for Gunslinger. Made the switch since YAS got the nerf. Not as fun/loop able but still lots of ability spam+ignitions. Basically only been using Monte Carlo for synergy but would enjoy seeing what you could come with after fiddling with it!
aztecross did testing on hierarchy a while back and it does not increase the damage of the extra arrows you get for firing through the ring. So I don't think it would be a good fit, since when you get the ring going you kinda just want to spam out arrows
I wouldn't ever use Wish-Ender with Oathkeepers as the buff is a very negligible damage increase even at full buff which takes like 2 seconds because it does not affect Broadhead dmg at all whatsoever, aka the 2 extra dmg numbers which make up just over two-thirds of the arrow dmg on full draw, Oathkeepers unfortunately only buff the initial hit which is actually slightly less than the Broadhead dmg even if the initial hit is a crit so like I said the dmg increase is basically non-existent, this is also the case for Trinity Ghoul, Le Monarque, and even Ticuu's Oathkeepers do not buff the dmg of their exotic perks, this means the chain lightning, poison dmg, and Sacred Flame explosion dmg, only the arrow itself is affected, in the case of Le Monarque, it's similar to Wish-Ender in that the poison actually makes up a substantial portion of its dmg though not quite as much as Wish-Ender, as for Trinity Ghoul, I don't think 99% of people even direct hit with it they just spam fire at the floor near ads to let it chain which is completely unaffected by Oathkeepers even if you hold it for the full buff cause as I said, the chain lightning does not get buffed, Ticuu follows suit and only buffs arrow dmg not explosion dmg which is like 60% of its damage, also just as a reminder I'd like to add the fact that Levi is completely unbuffed by Oathkeepers neither the arrow itself or the explosion nor volatile, and as for Hierarchy of Needs, it's the same as every other non-Levi exotic bow, the arrow is buffed but the exotic perk extra arrows from the Guidance Ring are unaffected whatsoever and they are almost two-thirds of the damage dealt since they deal very similar dmg to a base crit. the season is already pretty much dead, ie nothing new's gonna come out for a couple weeks now, but he needs some kind of upload to keep the algo going. that's why you see mediocre builds pop up. happens every season with every build crafting channel, incl mactics
Yeah, it really makes no sense that Bungie didn’t at least let Oathkeepers work with Leviathan’s Breath. I get why they didn’t want to let it buff the non-arrow hit parts of exotic bow damage, cuz that could’ve caused some serious balance issues, especially in PvP, but Leviathan’s Breath already one shots in PvP anyways, so it wouldn’t have made a difference. It should’ve been the best option to pair with Oathkeepers, and it wouldn’t have been op in PvE at all, since holding your arrows to charge the buff is still a dps loss overall, but on Leviathan’s Breath it would’ve been worth it because it would’ve given you more value out of your limited ammo.

I think that'd be a tad lame if they just slapped on incandescent. Instead I think it should be something like "While you have the causality arrows buff, detonating sacred flames spreads 20 scorch (25 with ashes) to affected targets. Precision shots ignite scorched targets." double booms, no kills needed
Other shoutouts: Tyranny of Heaven gets PugBuckler for some additional damage. Hierarchy of Needs also has team synergy as you can use each other's rings. All great options
Been enjoying Oathkeepers in pvp! Was really disappointed that Trinity Ghoul doesn’t work with it. I like Arc builds and have been using Point of the Stag.
1:30am the night before Thanksgiving I finished the dual grind to finish Ticuu's catalyst mission and got Hierarchy to drop, then its catalyst 1 run later, ready for season of solar! ...just need 700 kills each to apply their catalysts.
Wow this build was a bit sceptical in trying but have been wanting a good build for solar subclass so tried it out and my God didn't even have the bow you had so used my wish keeper strand bow and it was pretty killer don't get me wrong since it was strand it was a bit hard to acquire the shard's but I felt good using it like that and seeing the numbers jump from 10k to 60k was finaminal plus hanging the enemy up in the air helped for a even better crit loving it thanks for the help in getting the information needed to 👍
I can't put Ticcus down. It's so much fun to use. With empyreyon and the facet that heals you when you pick up a sprite...whew buddy as long as theirs red bars you can't die. I paired it with a hung jury that was precision instrument and kinetic tremors. A seriously amazing 1-2 punch for adds and champion clearing. Then I use celestial nighthawk for my exotic armor to just delete big bosses. Or at least huge chunks of their health bars. I'm not doing the million+ a prismatic hunter can pull off...but that's overkill. S tier build imo. It's got everything.
Oh! I do have a quick queation...does ticcus fall off in GM's/ raids/master dungeons? Ive used it in a regular nightfall and it does well. Just curious about endgame stuff...thanks!
I went down the TH-cam rabbit hole of exploring dead games, and I found enlisted. While it is pretty much dead, the game is GENUINELY an utterly amazing experience. Controller support is horrible (left stick up=look left?? HUH?) but mnk is smooth, and even as someone who’s never used mnk for gaming it’s actually really fun. You can ads, zoom on while ads, and hold your breath with any weapon (those little details are neat) I legitimately suggest yall give the game a try! ESPECIALLY if you love ww2 games, ESPECIALLY if you loved cod WAW and/or battlefield 1
I’ve been trying this set up with stasis and verglas curve deals with all champs sorts crowds and single target plus I can proc whisper of shards rending and fissures all the time
Great build, the only issue that I see si that by picking the firesprites created by searing, they reset the extended restoration timer granted by empyrean ... I assume it's a Bug
I don't really understand why I should use oathkeepers. I know there can be some situations where holding the arrow is beneficial, but mostly it just decreases your dps. It would be good for total damage and ammo, but bows have infinite ammo, except leviatans's breath, which doesn't even work with oathkeepers. Moreover, holding the arrow doesn't buff the effects of exotic bows, like poison or chain lighting. It does stack with the damage buff of ticuu's (slightly), but you have to time it perfectly, to have both active at the same time. Wouldn't foetracer be better here?
Yes it would be but the issue is that foetracer is objectively better on strand because of whirling maelstrom and threaded spike. He’s trying to make a solar hunter build but the problem is that solar hunter is in a HORRIBLE state right now.
@@daycejohnson While I agree that foetracer is really good on strand, it is also incredible on solar, and solar hunter is op for any type of endgame imo. Amazing super, infinite resto and radient.
@@richardrozsa2792I disagree wholeheartedly, it feels worse than Solar warlocks and Solar titans by a mile. Bad survivability, bad offensive abilities besides the super, and bad aspects. I just can’t justify using it over other subclasses. I unironically think stasis is in a better state.
@@daycejohnson I absolutely agree that solar titan and warlock is much better than solar hunter. There are situations where I also like stasis hunter more, especially for crowd control, like battleground GMs. However I can't say that a subclass, which has infinite resto and radient, has bad survivability.
The fact that hierarchy doesn’t synergise with ANY solar 3.0 functions is a massive fumble. I use that bow in so many situations and it just doesn’t hit like an exotic should.
As someone with hierarchy of needs, I actually tried a similar vein of build with it about 2-3weeks ago. It can work really well in lower-end content where you're chaining kill after kill for unlimted guidance rings, but once you start entering higher-end content such as masters and grandmasters, it gets a lot harder to chain those rings. Without the rings, this bow is basically just a normal, perk-less bow. Good in the right scenarios, not so good overall.
I've actually found the opposite. In higher level content, Hiearchy performs better. This is because you don't need kills for the rings. You can get rings by just getting precision shots. In fact, I've oddly found getting rings easier in high end content than lower end, due to just chaining precision shots together.
@@jdhenry1610 that's true, i forgot they charged from headshots as well. I still find ticuu's better for higher end though just because of the little amount of set-up.
Can you explain how arrive at 352% damage buff? Max oathkeepers is 150% Radiant 25% 2 surge mods 17% Regardless of how you add it up, you basically never used the max oathkeepers buff in the vid so the % are misleading. The build is basically classic pve solar hunter for high level content + any solar bow. Going by your play style, speedloader slacks would be a better pick for reload, handling and AE for you plus allies.
dps buffs in destiny are multiplicative not additive, besides i never do theoretical math to arrive to these numbers - my process is and always will be 1. hit bad guy with 0 buffs, write down damage number 2. hit bad guy with all the buffs, write damage number 3. put both numbers in % increae calculator

Ticuu's lack of ability to scorch is what's keeping the build from the next tier, adding incandescent perk would be the game changer. Still looking forward to trying out this build though, it looks fun!
I think that'd be a tad lame if they just slapped on incandescent. Instead I think it should be something like "While you have the causality arrows buff, detonating sacred flames spreads 20 scorch (25 with ashes) to affected targets. Precision shots ignite scorched targets." double booms, no kills needed

Been enjoying Oathkeepers in pvp! Was really disappointed that Trinity Ghoul doesn’t work with it. I like Arc builds and have been using Point of the Stag.

1:30am the night before Thanksgiving I finished the dual grind to finish Ticuu's catalyst mission and got Hierarchy to drop, then its catalyst 1 run later, ready for season of solar! ...just need 700 kills each to apply their catalysts.
I saw this same fragment setup on another build from a different TH-camr, I guess it’s just the best way to go on solar
Wow this build was a bit sceptical in trying but have been wanting a good build for solar subclass so tried it out and my God didn't even have the bow you had so used my wish keeper strand bow and it was pretty killer don't get me wrong since it was strand it was a bit hard to acquire the shard's but I felt good using it like that and seeing the numbers jump from 10k to 60k was finaminal plus hanging the enemy up in the air helped for a even better crit loving it thanks for the help in getting the information needed to 👍

I can't put Ticcus down. It's so much fun to use. With empyreyon and the facet that heals you when you pick up a sprite...whew buddy as long as theirs red bars you can't die. I paired it with a hung jury that was precision instrument and kinetic tremors. A seriously amazing 1-2 punch for adds and champion clearing. Then I use celestial nighthawk for my exotic armor to just delete big bosses. Or at least huge chunks of their health bars. I'm not doing the million+ a prismatic hunter can pull off...but that's overkill. S tier build imo. It's got everything.
I was always a bow user but I used to use the verglas curve with stasis but you converted me from ice to fire.
What armor perks do you recommend?

Tyranny of Heaven with dragonfly + incandescent. Also Verglas Curve on stasis is a under the radar bow. both are superfun (playing them on my wl)
I went down the TH-cam rabbit hole of exploring dead games, and I found enlisted. While it is pretty much dead, the game is GENUINELY an utterly amazing experience. Controller support is horrible (left stick up=look left?? HUH?) but mnk is smooth, and even as someone who’s never used mnk for gaming it’s actually really fun. You can ads, zoom on while ads, and hold your breath with any weapon (those little details are neat) I legitimately suggest yall give the game a try! ESPECIALLY if you love ww2 games, ESPECIALLY if you loved cod WAW and/or battlefield 1
I’ve been trying this set up with stasis and verglas curve deals with all champs sorts crowds and single target plus I can proc whisper of shards rending and fissures all the time

Great build, the only issue that I see si that by picking the firesprites created by searing, they reset the extended restoration timer granted by empyrean ... I assume it's a Bug
It's been like that since lightfall came out and it's been reported as bug months ago. Doubt they'll ever actually fix it

Was using this in GM (solar burn too) and getting roasted for not using wishender but I’m glad you have confirmed it works well
im using Lament on my GMs, no problem at all, only low skilled players gonna blame you for not using Wishender

Ok coming back, it's a ok use but it's mainly good for boss dps. The set up to get the max dmg out of it it complex but worth it.
I've been wanting to rock an oathkeeper build. Sick
I don't really understand why I should use oathkeepers. I know there can be some situations where holding the arrow is beneficial, but mostly it just decreases your dps. It would be good for total damage and ammo, but bows have infinite ammo, except leviatans's breath, which doesn't even work with oathkeepers. Moreover, holding the arrow doesn't buff the effects of exotic bows, like poison or chain lighting. It does stack with the damage buff of ticuu's (slightly), but you have to time it perfectly, to have both active at the same time. Wouldn't foetracer be better here?
Yes it would be but the issue is that foetracer is objectively better on strand because of whirling maelstrom and threaded spike. He’s trying to make a solar hunter build but the problem is that solar hunter is in a HORRIBLE state right now.
@@daycejohnson While I agree that foetracer is really good on strand, it is also incredible on solar, and solar hunter is op for any type of endgame imo. Amazing super, infinite resto and radient.
Foetracers also doesnt work for the festival of the lost due to needing to run the mask. I am sure that factored into the choice.
@@richardrozsa2792I disagree wholeheartedly, it feels worse than Solar warlocks and Solar titans by a mile. Bad survivability, bad offensive abilities besides the super, and bad aspects. I just can’t justify using it over other subclasses. I unironically think stasis is in a better state.
@@daycejohnson I absolutely agree that solar titan and warlock is much better than solar hunter. There are situations where I also like stasis hunter more, especially for crowd control, like battleground GMs. However I can't say that a subclass, which has infinite resto and radient, has bad survivability.
I thought i remember that only the first of the 3 hits from WishEnder get the oathkeepers buff. Did you encounter that in your testing Mac?
Use gunpowder gamble instead of knock em down. Ticcus will track onto gunpowder gamble mid-air

The fact that hierarchy doesn’t synergise with ANY solar 3.0 functions is a massive fumble. I use that bow in so many situations and it just doesn’t hit like an exotic should.

This might be a stupid question, but do fully drawn arrows count as perfectly drawn arrows while oathkeepers are on?

As someone with hierarchy of needs, I actually tried a similar vein of build with it about 2-3weeks ago. It can work really well in lower-end content where you're chaining kill after kill for unlimted guidance rings, but once you start entering higher-end content such as masters and grandmasters, it gets a lot harder to chain those rings. Without the rings, this bow is basically just a normal, perk-less bow. Good in the right scenarios, not so good overall.
I've actually found the opposite. In higher level content, Hiearchy performs better. This is because you don't need kills for the rings. You can get rings by just getting precision shots. In fact, I've oddly found getting rings easier in high end content than lower end, due to just chaining precision shots together.
@@jdhenry1610 that's true, i forgot they charged from headshots as well. I still find ticuu's better for higher end though just because of the little amount of set-up.

Max oathkeepers is 150%
Radiant 25%
2 surge mods 17%
Regardless of how you add it up, you basically never used the max oathkeepers buff in the vid so the % are misleading.
The build is basically classic pve solar hunter for high level content + any solar bow. Going by your play style, speedloader slacks would be a better pick for reload, handling and AE for you plus allies.
dps buffs in destiny are multiplicative not additive, besides i never do theoretical math to arrive to these numbers - my process is and always will be
1. hit bad guy with 0 buffs, write down damage number
2. hit bad guy with all the buffs, write damage number
3. put both numbers in % increae calculator

I think wishender in GMs benefits from oathkeepers the most, but with ticcu’s or hierarchy spam, you’re basically never getting that full buff %

oathkeeper x radiant x surge
2.5 x 1.25 x 1.17 = 3.65
There’s probably some rounding going on but that’s basically your 352%

I've never used that bow nor cloudstrike as yet. There are alot of the exotics i haven't used since I got them. May use it because of this bow

it's still good without it but take your time on the kills in pvp and you'll get the catty done
