I was born in the late 60s in England before it became truly multi-cultural. We lived in an Oxfordshire town. We were one of two black families in Banbury (my mum was from the Caribbean and my father was Afro-American). Generally, I was happy but did experience a little name-calling from some of the children at my primary school. After moving to Oxford in 1973 when I was 6, I rarely experienced any direct racism as there were more black and Indian people there, although at the time, not enough to be classed as multi-cultural. When I spoke to my mum about the name-calling she just laughed and wasn't very helpful. I had a comfortable middle-class up-bringing, but would have benefited from having more emotional support from my parents. Back then, many parents, including the British born ones, were stoic and had a stiff upper lip attitude which they expected their children to have. If interested, watch the first episode, or Season 3 episode 4, of the sitcom 'Love Thy neighbour' on TH-cam. If you can't find them, there are other episodes. You will then know how direct the racism was back in England during the 60s and 70s, and some of the ridiculous attitudes that many people had.

It's a combination of the keto/mediterranean diet along with intermittent fasting. I do have a personal trainer that I go to 2-4 times a week. Will share a lot more details in the next month!
P.S. It's apparent that Korea has a long way to go from perfecting Mexican food, buT knowing their skills and determination I'm sure they'll at least get better at it, bit by bit over time (as for Southern/Soul food though, they've got their work cut out for them)!! 😁
