It's hard to believe how many people are just willing to walk down dark hallways or basements with some disembodied voice telling you to come on down, not to mention it's in a strange house. So many of these stories are like that, and somehow the hero always manages to be stupid enough to do it, but not quite stupid enough to die in the process, and they're able to get out of there.
These stories made me realise that we don't educate boys about danger the same way we educate girls. A young woman would have never entered a house at the invitation of an older stranger, especially after they showed romantic interest in them. Not because women are smarter or something like that but because most of us grew up being constantly warned of the dangers of older men, meanwhile guys are conditioned to think that having older women taking interest in them is "cool". That's why the guy in the first story felt completely ok in a situation that most women would have instantly recongnised as creepy and dangerous.
You never realize how dangerous it is doing something as simple as delivering pizza when you realize you’re driving a death machine surrounded by thousands of other death machines.
That's why I'm happy I'm a doordasher I don't wanna be an hourly delivery driver bc if they feel unsafe or uncomfortable delivering somewhere they have no choice. I can choose what orders I do and don't take and I've always felt safe in that way.
Facts. I myself used to be a delivery driver at Pizza Hut several years back. I had this one incident where I made a delivery to a house late at night, and there was a note on the door that said "the door is unlocked, please come inside and come to the basement." I said "fuck that" and I left the pizza on the porch and dipped. I told my manager what happened, and she said I did the right thing and to never go inside someone's house.
I work at the post office all driving route, and having these to listen to while I’m delivering mail is such a blessing. Been following since 2015. Thank you Mr. Nightmare.

I was working the night shift at Little Nero's Pizza. It was the Christmas season so most of the families were on vacation. Nevertheless I received an order for a regular cheese pizza. When I pulled up to the house I found a note at the door telling me to take the pizza around to the back. When I knock on the door I hear this gruff voice saying "who is it?". When I tell him his pizza is here he tells me, once again very gruffly, to leave it on the door step. The weird thing is that the whole time he never once opened the door. When I told him how much the pizza cost he simply slipped it through the dog door telling me "Keep the change ya filthy animal". I mutter something about him being a cheapskate and he must of heard me because the next thing I know he's threatening to pump my guts full of lead. I heard something similar happened the next year at a hotel in New York. Who is this guy?
I had the misfortune of experiencing this guy's antics. Back in the 90s I worked on concierge for a posh hotel in NYC. So good that I once served Donald trump. This 10 year old kid checked in with a stolen credit card and his dad was mad at the fact that I accidentally walked in on him having a shower when I went in the room to interrogate the guests. I saw the same kid run back into the hotel so all the staff chased him to the room. Then the same guy you are describing forced us to get on our knees and tell him we loved him . He then gave us 10 seconds to exit the room. Next thing we know we hear him shooting the room up to pieces with a Tommy gun....
Usually if orders don’t get picked up or the owners aren’t home we wait a few hours and then eat them. Usually the delivery guys get to it first. we pizzamakers usually don’t have time, the delivery guys frequently have to wait for an order, we’re constantly making orders so we don’t get time. It’s quite unfair, especially because we’re constantly looking at the food which makes us more hungry :(
@@Angyal_Angyal not the smell, the smell is always good. Things with paprika or pesto are my biggest enemy. But pizza from my workplace specifically, a lot of the time, yes. I do still have it like pretty much once a week. Even when i don’t enjoy it as much, i can’t help myself, i keep falling for it. It’s still good but not so great anymore. (It’s been 1+ year) But when you’re hungry, and you’re hungry quite often during those shifts, pizza will do just fine! A lot of the time we don’t eat until 1, 2 or 3 hours after ‘regular dinner time’ because 1. It’s busy so you don’t have time to go one break or Your shift isn’t over yet until like 7:30 or 8:30 (+you still have to travel home..) and 2. you start too early to eat dinner beforehand Also: different pizza places to eat from are still great, different places have very different tasting pizza due to different ingredients/suppliers. It does still not taste as good anymore but it’s still delicious (like 10% less delicious so to speak)
That last story isn't really avoidable but that first one definitely is. You never go into someone's house, just do your job and leave. Also, watch out for weird locations as well! If something seems off, it probably is. I don't understand why some people put their lives in danger for something that can be replaceable.

A delivery person should never be required to leave the doorstep. You as a customer have the time to prepare to receive the order. Also, all deliveries should be paid digitally so the delivery person doesn’t have to carry cash.
That would be ideal except a lot of people, especially the poor and/or elderly, are not tech savvy, or some just don't have good tech - a low grade phone, no computer, etc.
I agree about the not-leaving-the-doorstep. That is just good sense, for both delivery person & customer. I disagree with the no-cash thing though. Cash money keeps these businesses going (not to mention the whole world) & also cash tips are much better. Its bad enough that cash-money has begun to vanish (President Biden signed the first part of eliminating cash-money! God help us.)
YES! SAFER BOTH! Never go inside, and only tips should be cash (ready & delivered OUTSIDE the door!) Cash is helpful in person. BUT there are older folks & others who may not have computer access, so there unfortunately needs to be a cash option even for deliveries. :(
I did enter someone's house once because the guy said he was disabled and he'd give me a cash tip if I'd help him out. Turns out he really was just disabled, bed ridden by the looks of him. He was honestly a really nice guy.

The world/universe has never been safe. The way human nature (as well as nature in general) works will always mean that there's no guarantee of safety anywhere, but the good news is most dangerous things are avoidable when good critical thinking and awareness is taught to people. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

One thing I noticed in these stories is how quick the police force responds to their calls and be right over shortly after said calls. That's the craziest part.

The one thing that always pisses me off more then just being picked on, or robbed, is when said people also threaten you not to say anything to anyone, as if they are afraid of the consequences of their actions. Such cowards really makes my blood boil. I was actually in a situation like that once. Some fellow classmates dared me to drink chili directly from the bottle. Unfortunately for them I like chili and did just that and when I did not react at all, they got so offended four of them actually ambused me after school and beat me up, threatening not to tell anything to anyone, like the cowards they were. Well, jokes on them cuz I did, and not only that, but two of the idiots were dumb enough to attack a completely random boy afterwards, and two of the girls in my class saw that and reported them as well. So not only were all four punished, but the two who attacked the boy got expelled from school. Karma really is such a nice thing :D

I've been experiencing food getting delivered over to my place these days. Sometimes I do get skeptical whenever I decide to just order takeout food. But as long as it keeps me full, I guess I got no room to complain. We all know for a fact that there's always something creepy/eerie with situations like these days. So be careful out there.
Ive been a pizza delivery driver for 4 years so I always like seeing these kinds of stories. Im always on alert and never go in anyones house even if they offer and seem super nice. If they cant come get the food ill leave it at the door. I've had a couple co workers be robbed before. I keep some good pepper spray on me at all times, clipped for quick grab
The pizza delivery stories are by far the most engaging for me. It feels like a surprise everytime someone goes to a house to deliver pizza, and you don't know what to expect next as a viewer. You just know how it starts, but not how it ends, and it's always somewhat different everytime.
Very nice touch using the Hell House piano music. I had to take a break for a few minutes after that 😅 I just recently discovered your channel and am obsessed. Your videos are scarier than 90% of horror movies.
Important lesson: If the customer tells you to just come inside the house and bring the pizza to them, and you get a bad, sketchy gut feeling, don't come inside, leave the pizza at the door. No amount of tip is worth risking your safety. There are way too many nutjobs out there. Creeps, robbers in vacant houses, murderers, etc. I hope all of these deliver drivers are still safe and doing alright, these were super terrifying to hear.

Cops usually look out for each other I’m sure they made it very clear what would happen if any harm came to them. My buddy used to be a cop and he told me there were a bunch of guys on the job that were basically an unofficial squad where if anything ever happened to another cop like threats from a gang or god forbid violence these guys would pay them a visit off the clock with no badges and without going into detail basically they were never a problem again after that. A group of cops visiting u like that is way scarier and more dangerous then any gangbangers simply because of the fact that they’ll never get in trouble and they know it.

Crazy that like most people I always listen to these critically like "yeah, I wouldnt have gone to look" or "ha, couldn't be me cornering myself in a room" and the first time I've realized I'd 100% die in one of these stories is because theres no way I can convince myself I wouldn't follow along with those women.
I was delivering a pizza one night in the hills of Los Angeles. There was a note on the order saying to come around to the back and let myself in. I go into the house. All the lights are off. I thought I was alone in the living room so I go to set the pizza down and the moment I do I hear someone yell out “NO!” Turns out I set the box down on a pile of cocaine. That’s when I noticed there were people scattered all around the room sitting in the dark. The homeowner said he wasn’t gonna tip me but offered me some coke. I said no thank you. Then he offered me a slice of the pizza. I said…. Yeah gimme a slice. Good times. Great pizza.

That last story isn't really avoidable but that first one definitely is. You never go into someone's house, just do your job and leave. Also, watch out for weird locations as well! If something seems off, it probably is. I don't understand why some people put their lives in danger for something that can be replaceable.
So far a refreshing theme for these deliveries is bosses understanding not delivering to the sketchy behaving customers. Story 3 is epic!

A delivery person should never be required to leave the doorstep. You as a customer have the time to prepare to receive the order. Also, all deliveries should be paid digitally so the delivery person doesn’t have to carry cash.
If all deliveries had to be paid digitally the pizza market would die bc most low income houses pay cash and a lot of the times in exact change
That would be ideal except a lot of people, especially the poor and/or elderly, are not tech savvy, or some just don't have good tech - a low grade phone, no computer, etc.
I agree about the not-leaving-the-doorstep. That is just good sense, for both delivery person & customer. I disagree with the no-cash thing though. Cash money keeps these businesses going (not to mention the whole world) & also cash tips are much better. Its bad enough that cash-money has begun to vanish (President Biden signed the first part of eliminating cash-money! God help us.)
YES! SAFER BOTH! Never go inside, and only tips should be cash (ready & delivered OUTSIDE the door!) Cash is helpful in person. BUT there are older folks & others who may not have computer access, so there unfortunately needs to be a cash option even for deliveries. :(
I did enter someone's house once because the guy said he was disabled and he'd give me a cash tip if I'd help him out. Turns out he really was just disabled, bed ridden by the looks of him. He was honestly a really nice guy.

@mirrrstery No, it‘s just called having common sense. 2-3 of these stories could have been avoided had logic been applied. When a place is obviously sketchy by any means, it‘s not hard to put two and two together. Critical thinking.
The world/universe has never been safe. The way human nature (as well as nature in general) works will always mean that there's no guarantee of safety anywhere, but the good news is most dangerous things are avoidable when good critical thinking and awareness is taught to people. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The one thing that always pisses me off more then just being picked on, or robbed, is when said people also threaten you not to say anything to anyone, as if they are afraid of the consequences of their actions. Such cowards really makes my blood boil.
I was actually in a situation like that once. Some fellow classmates dared me to drink chili directly from the bottle. Unfortunately for them I like chili and did just that and when I did not react at all, they got so offended four of them actually ambused me after school and beat me up, threatening not to tell anything to anyone, like the cowards they were. Well, jokes on them cuz I did, and not only that, but two of the idiots were dumb enough to attack a completely random boy afterwards, and two of the girls in my class saw that and reported them as well. So not only were all four punished, but the two who attacked the boy got expelled from school.
Karma really is such a nice thing :D

I've been experiencing food getting delivered over to my place these days. Sometimes I do get skeptical whenever I decide to just order takeout food. But as long as it keeps me full, I guess I got no room to complain. We all know for a fact that there's always something creepy/eerie with situations like these days. So be careful out there.
Ive been a pizza delivery driver for 4 years so I always like seeing these kinds of stories. Im always on alert and never go in anyones house even if they offer and seem super nice. If they cant come get the food ill leave it at the door. I've had a couple co workers be robbed before. I keep some good pepper spray on me at all times, clipped for quick grab

The pizza delivery stories are by far the most engaging for me. It feels like a surprise everytime someone goes to a house to deliver pizza, and you don't know what to expect next as a viewer. You just know how it starts, but not how it ends, and it's always somewhat different everytime.

Important lesson: If the customer tells you to just come inside the house and bring the pizza to them, and you get a bad, sketchy gut feeling, don't come inside, leave the pizza at the door. No amount of tip is worth risking your safety. There are way too many nutjobs out there. Creeps, robbers in vacant houses, murderers, etc. I hope all of these deliver drivers are still safe and doing alright, these were super terrifying to hear.
Also, never make deliveries in a bad part of town at night.

Cops usually look out for each other I’m sure they made it very clear what would happen if any harm came to them. My buddy used to be a cop and he told me there were a bunch of guys on the job that were basically an unofficial squad where if anything ever happened to another cop like threats from a gang or god forbid violence these guys would pay them a visit off the clock with no badges and without going into detail basically they were never a problem again after that. A group of cops visiting u like that is way scarier and more dangerous then any gangbangers simply because of the fact that they’ll never get in trouble and they know it.

I was delivering a pizza one night in the hills of Los Angeles. There was a note on the order saying to come around to the back and let myself in. I go into the house. All the lights are off. I thought I was alone in the living room so I go to set the pizza down and the moment I do I hear someone yell out “NO!” Turns out I set the box down on a pile of cocaine. That’s when I noticed there were people scattered all around the room sitting in the dark. The homeowner said he wasn’t gonna tip me but offered me some coke. I said no thank you. Then he offered me a slice of the pizza. I said…. Yeah gimme a slice.
