I like panels especially the ones you can do the window panel. The kitty panel blocks are adorable. I also like pieced backing. I did a combo quilt of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penn State football teams for my grandson for Christmas, and split the backing between both teams. Of course, my grandson went absolutely bonkers when he opened it. I discovered your channel about a month ago and have been hooked ever since. Thank you for your time and knowledge of quilting, which I am a newbie at it (7 mos or so).

I think I would make it into a lap quilt.......and it would be a nice piece to auction off for a charity if you personally didn’t want it.
I just finished the two sides, front and back, on a baby clothes memory quilt for my grand daughter who’ 16 th birthday was yesterday...
My twelve year grand daughter is learning how to sew in the co op homeschool class....She made a pillow case she’s so proud of.
I remember home ed in grade school and we had to sew our own graduation dress when we were in the 8 th grade.....I still remember that I used lavender with Swiss white polka dots and made my own frilly can can for the skirt....lol that dates me...🤣

I love pieced backs! It’s a great way to practice or experiment with a new block, since it will be on the back instead of the quilt front you don’t have to stress if it is not perfect.

Ever since I started quilting, 90% of quilts I have made have had pieced backing. It is great for using up left over fabric.
