🔴 Hey there, welcome back to our channel! Today, we have an exciting topic to explore in the world of CNC technology. We'll be diving into the debate of NC Studio vs. DSP Controller.
🔴 One significant difference between these two controllers is their method of communication. NC Studio typically uses a PC connection, allowing you to control your CNC machine through software installed on your computer. On the contrary, the DSP Controller is independent and doesn't require a PC. This can be advantageous when you need to work offline or if you encounter connectivity issues.
So, let's buckle up and get ready to unravel the differences between these two powerful CNC control systems!

Hi. I have 2 NC Studio boards from 2011/2012. Where can I get documentation on them?

Hello! For control machine from PC you need to order NC Studio board, but we're recommend to use RichAuto, it's doesn't require PC to control machine.

    Dear Wattsan,
You said that DSP Controller can save settings, if power failure it will start from last stop position, my question is that is it possible with NC Studio system?

Can we use a generic parallel port breakout board with NC studio?

    • @Wattsan

Hello! Thanks for the question! Parallel port usually works with MACH3, NC studio have PCI board that process signals for machine. It's doesn't need a parallel port and cannot use it.

I purchased an NC studio card which came with a 15 pin breakout board. It came without documentation. My stepper drive has pins as Pulse+, Pulse -, Dir+, Dir - . I understand the Pulse - & Dir - are to be connected to ground. The 15 pin breakout board has two pins as 5v & 2 pins as G. Logically since these pin outs are coming from the pci card, one should not give the 15 pin breakout board an external 5v supply right?
Would that also mean that Pulse - & Dir - should be connected to pin marked as G on break out board?
