    I've had the knife for four days now, I've always wanted one. And I haven't used it on anything but a carrot it cuts really well.

    I liked it ...as soon as I held it in my hands, price ain't bad either. Perfect light duty EDC, larger hands will probably need to upgrade.

    Just saw this on my homepage and this is the first knife I ever bought when I was 17 and still have it and just happen to have found it in my drawer today and sharpened it . Definitely not my favorite knife but meaningful to me.

    CRKT, for being so affordable, have always made amazing flippers! I had mine for a long time before I broke it cause I was dumb and didn't know how to use a knife right haha. Live and learn, but the memories stay with you.

    I got mine as an early christmas gift, and it feel better in my hands than a lot of other knives of comparable size. It's quite sleek and has a utilitarian charm to it.

    Your right its not a word but yet it describes this knife perfectly! and for the tip up people...get over it...lol everything about this knife right down to the sub $15 price ( what I paid) is incredible, I love this knife! I was going to buy a Kershaw Ferrite ($54 knife) until I found this little gem!

  • @sdedc6506
    @sdedc6506 7 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I keep buying more expensive knives but always wind up back to this for my EDC. Blade is good quality and it's very slim in the pocket. I don't use the clip. And that blade shape makes it look REAL nasty if you have to whip it out in self defense situation.

    • @Jimislash
      @Jimislash  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It is a great blade. A big favorite.

  • @Frank-uf2vn
    @Frank-uf2vn 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I actually went into Gander Outdoors looking to buy the Kershaw Ferrite but this CRKT M16-01S caught my eye and the price being $30 cheaper didn't hurt any. I couldn't be any happier that I did, I have to admit the only dislike I have is that once it is locked open it is difficult to close again, I'm hoping over time it will get easier. I don't think that those are thumb studs on the blade for 2 reasons, I have never owned a knife with thumb studs that didn't (open) work without assistance other than your thumb and the actual product specs on the knife never mention them just the Flipper opening system for quick and convenient blade actuation, they seem more like (blade) stops then thumb studs? I have never owned an assisted opening knife before so the first several times I tried it, it didn't open very well but now it always works on the first try....I love this little knife and its quite sharp right out of the package!

    M16-03Z is the knife that got me hooked again about 6 years ago.. 03Z has a 3.5" blade and auto lawks liner lock.. I had two and both flipped well with no issues..
    I like the frame lock on this one..My tastes changed and don't like flippers.. I spend way too much on higher end production knives now..

      fyi.. I bought this knife new,and was stiff. Did a disasemble and cleaning, works great now. The lube that was in there almost appeared gummy and the bronze washer was rough, so I polished it. Also, those,aren't thumbstuds, there are in place of the stop pin, so angle isn't great to use to flip open.

    I like that line. i skipped it however in favor of the m21-02g . I removed the second safety lock and its a good tool now. However i find that the liner lock is stiff as hell and hard on the thumb to close. good video! looking forward to more!
