Had the opportunity to meet his mum, you can instantly see why he holds her in such regards. She was willing to spend time chatting to me and even went out of her way to introduce me to him. I think she is a brilliant lady.
Incredibly underrated and inspiring musician. Look forward to see his success grow and prove the doubters wrong like so many who are told from boroughs like croydon. A fellow croydon mixed-race student.
Loyle Carner is such a gentleman, with an incredible mind and huge compassion. The interviewer must have been too nervous to notice how dismissive it came across every time he cut Carner off (often in the middle of a good story, an impactful moment) with his 'ok great', as if to say glad we ticked that one off the list but here's the next question.. Nevertheless, the questions brought out some wonderful stories that I hadn't heard before - thank you for sharing!
Man, I am constantly made to feel that i can’t cry to my friends because I’m a guy, I’m constantly made to feel that I can’t do certain things because of my learning difficulties and I just feel at home when Ben talks about these things. Ben I idolise you. You are a magnificent person. I feel like I don’t want to say it because it’s commonly seen as “talking shit” but like, I actually mean this, I am made to feel that I can’t be me because it’s seen as “being weird” or at least that’s how I feel. I just want to be genuine, all of the people who I can actually talk to know that I am a nice and genuine person but I just feel like I can’t be that sometimes. Deep down I am a guy like Ben but I feel like I can’t be me. Massive apologies if you read this but I just wanted to speak my mind. Much love
Personally for myself the interviewer is extremely bad at his job, instead of trying to encourage the story and truth from Carner he presents him with pre-researched facts and asks for him to expand on it. The way in which he works through the list is so formal making the interview feel more like a police interrogation than a natural conversation.
that last little bit after the loose ends verse needs to be released, if only he put that as a final track on hugo or one of the songs, would of been amazing

totally agree
exactly my thoughts!
Literally - worst interviewer - he ruined the interview - tell me a story about it?...tell me - terrible eloquence too
The interviewer is shocking!! Jesus
yeah but he's a student, not a professional innit...
If he didn't rap and worked as a toilet cleaner, recon he'd still be one of those top blokes you'd always want to share a pint with.
Waited ages for this and well worth it, big up Loyle
47:57 He's preforming the last verse of Loose Ends before it was released. 👏
Interviewer is so nervous lol
Such a real dude.
Horrible interviewer but always nice listening to Loyle

julius dein's brother?
I. Fucking. Love. The. Guy
Where have you gone Cambridge! Do you upload debates somewhere else now? Thanks
Anyone else noticed he called him Coyle Larner at the start?? 🤔
Harry Stoodley because that's his surname
Bruh that’s his surname bro 😂😆😂
Benjamin Coyle Larner is his real name
His stage name is Loyle Carner because he has dyslexia and adhd and would spell and say his name as Loyle Carner instead of Coyle Larner.
@@nichii1603 I never knew this but makes total sense! Love it!
Did anyone else hear "Benjamin Coyle Larner?"

the coolness compared to the interviewer loool
omg that is not his gf omddddd
