The bristles were bought from Ryan Houston on eBay. I see he doesn't have any in stop at the moment though but worth keeping an eye out 👍

@@SeánWoodsFishing i cut some bristles off a brush at work and tied them into a red shrimp pattern, i got many hits on it during the last week of the season on the findhorn in scotland but they kept dropping it, do you think because the bristles were stiff it was putting them off? what do you think?

I rarely use these kind of flies John but I think if a salmon wants the fly, the bristles of any kind won't stop them. Could be down poor luck. I never find fish take as good later in the season, plucking at the flies or tail slapping

@@SeánWoodsFishing i had two during that last week and lost a really good double that felt well hooked but for the whole week i had around 20 takes on an orange tube and the red shrimp, i was going out in the morning , home for a couple of hours and back out early afternoon until dark, a lot of pulls and taking the fly, moving off with it then dropping it! very frustrating but exciting aswel, i tied on the red shrimp and had 3 pulls in the first 3 casts! good end to the season, i look at your tiny pattern and i just would'nt have the confidence to go that small

@@johngraham5996 that's one busy week John! The micros have there place but only every very low water, I wouldn't be putting them on at this time of year 👍 I've had some fantastic days with them, especially the green butt
