Mine's doesn't bend on turning. There might be some wheel alignment issues in your unit.

If possible try to ride yourself or ask bigger kid to ride it to see if it is wheel problem or not. Very little kids like around 2 years may find it difficult to balance on it. So, parents supervision is needed.
