Thanks for the nice video. Have some concerns about the IVT transmission of the GT-Line vs the DCT transmission of the GT. Seems lots of IVTs on all brands of cars have problems that traditional transmissions don't. Can you provide any feedback? Also, how sluggish is the driving experience compared to the 200hp GT + additional torque?
Appreciated! The 2019 - 2020 has an open recall on the IVT transmission that required an ECU upgrade and potential transmission replacement if issues were found. Part of the issue with the IVT transmission is people not breaking them in properly and hard acceleration before the vehicle is warmed up. But.. the warranty is there for a reason! The difference between the 2.0L and 1.6L turbo is noticeable for sure. I wouldn't say the 2.0L is sluggish.. but with almost 50% more torque you'll absolutely notice the difference if you drive them back to back
Unfortunately not.. it will default back to normal when the engine is turned off. Drive mode memory is a great idea though. I'd actually recommend reaching out to Kia corporate in your country and recommend it as a feature to consider
Thanks a random piece to have fallen off. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it's for the tow hook. You should just be able to pop it back in but if it's not staying than the clips have broken and it may be a replacement
I've had 2 kias 1 compact one suv. The one thing I noticed about both is it always feels like something is loose under the driver's feet. It's annoying as hell.
Great video, never seen anyone go through all the options on the display. Crazy amount of customization.
Thanks Matt! It's pretty neat how much can be done with modern cars when you dive into it

Do you know if this can be defaulted to Smart mode?

Hi, quick question. Does the 2023 Kia Forte GT have wireless Apple
CarPlay?
Nope.. the GT has the larger 10.25" screen which only has support for wired CarPlay and Android Auto
Can you replace the circle on front bumper mine poped off

That's an odd one.. is it like that since new or just when you get to certain mileage?
