Abigail, i wish we has started playing cello years ago and could have followed you along while you were active in youtube. thank for leaving these posted: your instruction is so helpful.
Abigail, your videos are the best and most educational we can find about the Suzuki method... your explanations are clear and objective Thank you for so many teachings
You are such an awesome teacher! Thank you so much for sharing yourself, and your energy! These videos have helped me tremendously. You are truly a star who shines bright! Your students are blessed to have you. Many many thanks. 🙏🏼 You are truly one of the best teachers out there, I’m sure of it. 💖
Thanks so much for posting these. An an adult re-learning the cello it is so helpful to me to hear your explanations. You are a great communicator and it's very generous of you to put these on TH-cam.
Fantástico!!! No hablo ingles pero da gusto ver la energía que tienes y que le pones. Ojala estuviera traducido al español. Te sigo en todo lo relacionado con el Cello. Gracias sister of soul.
Found a very good cello teaching, thank you for your detailed explanation, very beneficial, hope that new teaching courses on the line, thank you very much!
Hey girl I find your channel really helpfull but I have a question , im having problems when I change the position I dont find the note it does not sound in tune , can you give me an advice to improve?
Kira M I think is the same principle when you write in a keyboard and you know where is the key in your mind, even if you cant see it... Just... practice... what i do... trying to do the same i do with the keyboard on the fingerboard
+Kira M what I found a good way to practice these shifts is the same Abigail showed in some previous videos, and the same my teacher taught me: first practice the shift itself (last note of first position an first note of second position). Slowly and then going faster. I help myself with a tuning app as well. Then practice the notes in the second position (slow than faster), than the shift back / to next position. And only after that I play it all together. You start from scratch every day, like doing a puzzle: the first day it's a tremendous work. Next day it's a bit easier, and so on. In two weeks you do the puzzle in 1 minute. It's working for me.
Hello Abigail! This is my latest piece and i'm really having a difficult time with it. the notes slow down my fingers, my eye n fingers wont coordinate. thanks for your vid, i will sit and dissect this piece again slowly. ~grace
