Just booked the big dupper lodge for next year. You have to go around the new moon phase! That way the moon does not block out the light from the milkyway. Its truthfully amazing to see it! I go to the stargazing observation field there probably at least once a month around every new moon!
Hey Tyler! Oh wow I just looked it up. That lodge seems awesome!! I wish I had seen it when I went haha. And yeah, I've made so many mistakes trying to go to Cherry Springs at random times. Definitely need to plan for the new moon next time! I wish I lived closer so I could come join you. Enjoy your time out there :)
