I love it that we have so many tools available to choose from. I wish I had something like this or my current digital amp, when I bought my first real strat in 99. But not to say “back in my day” haha! I appreciate you doing a run through of it Shane, I would not have seen it otherwise. Cheers from the states!
Thats why it shits me when people tell younger/beginner guitarists that amps like Line6 spiders are garbage.... It's a the difference between learning to draw realism with a single lead pencil or a 12 pack of colours. However I'm going to laugh hysterically if realism drawing 101 is "only use Lead pencil for the first year"
I guess im randomly asking but does anybody know a tool to get back into an instagram account..? I stupidly forgot my password. I would appreciate any tips you can offer me.
@Charlie Deshawn I really appreciate your reply. I got to the site through google and I'm trying it out atm. Looks like it's gonna take quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Nice intro clip Shane. I bought a Blackstar ID:Core BEAM two years ago; it's sound stil amazes me. Had I known about the Mooer, my choice may have been different. Thanks again for a great demo.
Nice video Shane. One thing you didn't mention was the price, it seems to be £110ish in the UK but not many places carry it. I'm going to throw a spanner in the works now: £30ish extra gets you a used Katana 50...
The Mooer can be used acoustically and for a bass, so not a bad little unit to play around with , do a bit of tracking on this. I like them, small and versatile , and cheap
Cool little amp, considered one but managed to snag a Yamaha thr5 on sale for the same money. Would love to see a head to head shoot out between the 2. Keep up the good work Shane, Happy New Year
Cool vid & amp Shane. I love the fact it has a bass mode on it too as I just got a Harley Benton bass VI. I would have liked the Fender or Squire version better but for £160 its good enough for me. The H.B. version has no whammy bar though. Nice Tele too. I love that wood grain.
Can't wait for the promised black/white shootout video that's now in the works for at least a year. There will be a lot of information. :-D Great videos of these little amps btw.
Good little amp! The OD's were a bit over compressed, the 'Plexi' sound sounded more like a fuzz pedal, esp on low notes. Liked the Boogie one! Cleans were great! All the sounds sounded GOOD/natural however. Still a great little amp for what it is. Adding acoustic & bass is a real bonus! Nice 1!
Nice review. By the way I have one query. Mooer SD 30 vs boss katana 50 M 2 vs this one - - which is more appropriate for the beginners and intermediate players? Please let me educate.
Did you try putting a solid body electric into the acoustic channel? Just wondered whether the sound is usable... Pete. This is the guy who takes out a Fender "Rumble" 100 watt amp as a back up to whatever's my first choice. Sounds surprisingly good!
Awesome demo! What a great little amp! $100 might seem like a lot for a small practice amp, but for all of the onboard effects...Heeyyyy....might be a fun video to set up a practice, low-budget rig (guitar, amp, pedals) vs. an all in one amp/guitar for practice/home use??🤔🤙🏻🎸
Great demo Shane. Little modeling amps are a lot of fun to practice/hash out an idea with. Although I saw the demo for the first one the side by side should place the winner out of these two for sure. A little off topic do you have any Guitar search Saturday's coming up in the future? Cheers and happy holidays
Looks/sounds good but It's close enough on price to the Kat 50 that it's probably not going to sell so well. JMO............... The one advantage this Moore has over the Kat is its smaller size/weight. That's a plus-minus tradeoff but if you need a very small amp this would be a good option.
Love this, great sound. One thing though. I also have that guitar, great tone and look but may have to send it back because the intonation drops out after 5 minutes playing, reset it sounds great play for 5 minutes intonation out again, seems to be a problem with loose saddle movement or something, any advice will be greatly appreciated, I also have the left hand model.
@@DMSProduktions I guess I just noticed it today when it was flashing! As a video game nerd, I usually spot these things quickly. Guess I'm off my game. Haha
Sounds like it would make a great little recording amp for demos. Could the "acoustic" mode be successfully used as a drum machine input? (PS: Looks like you've found the ideal role for that very heavy but very versatile Artist Tele as a "studio" guitar!)
I hope you answer my question what will be your pick between the Hornet and the NUX Mighty 20 BT anw I'm big fan of the channel thanks for your hard work! keep it up!
Fender Gdec Jr is the absolute best practice amp as far as the tones. Honestly, you can take one of these little bastards into to studio an record an entire album. Such an inspiring and fun little practice tool with soo much going on. I've even gigged a small bar/pub(open mic night) with the little sonabitch. My Axe, Gdec and an SM57. It is a very loud 15 watts though. It can move some air. The other guitar players flipped the faq out!😳😬 They couldn't believe the tone I was getting out of it. Straight smoked their big heavy, loud Twin Amp they had on stage. They're still scratching their domes wondering what happened that night. It was such a fun time.
I don't think it has anything superior than THR, especially you can't tweak those parameters in details and record via USB. But if you're already happy with what Hornet can do, you can save good $.
It's not really a pedal amp but if you dial in clean it might be okay for basic overdrive tones. It would probably sound better just using the amp models in the amp.
Just bought this amp. I agree that the chorus is terrible. Probably the worst chorus I have ever heard. It's the chorus you want to use during your last song of the night to get everyone to leave. After trying out the different amp sims, I've discovered I only like the Acoustic setting for my guitars and my basses. What I notice about the amp is that it has a noticable G frequency that starts up when I turn on the bluetooth. Doesn't bother me when I am playing the speaker loudly for practice, but if I were to have this sitting on a desk with bluetooth connection to my laptop for example, it would drive me mad. At low volume, the acoustic setting sounds better than my Fender Acoustasonic 40. Surprising good amp for a clean jazz sound.
Thanks, I don't know that one but I will take a look. That chord progression is very common and there's been a number of great songs that use that exact pattern :-).
Good sounding little amp. How can a company like Mooer mess up the chorus, and why vibrato, most people like tremolo much better. If it had good chorus and tremolo I would buy one , but im a chorus and tremolo fan .
My personal choice is the Microcube GX if you want a stand alone practice amp that sounds great without annoying anyone else. If you need a bit more volume the Katana 50 would make more sense. If you have a stack of cash the Carr Raleigh is probably the best practice amp money can buy - but it's maybe a little loud for some.
The cleans sounded good, but wasn't impressed with the marshally tones - they just sounded like it had baked beans the night before. The Mesa actually didn't sound too bad though.
ok.. its either the mic or the amp 0:20 acoustic sounds terrible...oh yeah, acoustic always does 0:40 put a blanket over all the things 8:20 ok.. its a quilt not a blanket
I don't know, but most of those tones with the Tele sounded like a blanket was over the amp. Too much bottom end to really hear the clean tones chime. The Marshall sounded like the gain channel on a really cheap amp. Sorry, but this amp is not for me.
Bass and Acoustic don't sound good at all. But the electric guitar modes are good, especially the clean ones. With the bass and acoustic modes being useless, again comes up the question: Is the black or the white one better?
I'm sorry, Mooer. It's just too friggin' ugly. I know you were going for a retro/boutique amp look, but that badge looks more like it's plucked from a cheesy retro diner. I'd rather have the Vox purse....
Great intro clip shane. Had to stop the vid and comment I liked it so much.🤘
Thank you, Mike!
Actually decided to start stocking these at my new shop based on your review, very good little units.

What happened to the Whit-Black comparison? Did you decide not to do it?
Mooer hornet 30i or NUX Mighty 20BT mk2 for Blues ?
I'd use this for my BASS!
do you think taking the 30 watt model will it have enough power for the bass?
Does it take pedals and/or multi-effects pedal well?
